The first picture was taken Easter Sunday 2016 at my highest weight of 252 pounds! The second picture I took this morning at 166.2 pounds!! My surgery was on 5/16/16 just a little over 5 months ago. I feel great!!!

OK I've finally decided to be brave and post a couple of photos, apologies they are pretty poor quality as I'm not overly fond of pictures but before was June last year, the latest one is yesterday (I was obviously concentrating on something else in that one ????)

The day of surgery I weighed 370 lbs. Diabetic, high blood sugar, high cholesterol, kidney not 100%, just am all around, typical obese individual with no drive, no energy, just a desire to eat, always planning my next meal. The attached picture was yesterday's walk. By no means am I ready for a marathon, and there are definately people doing better then me, but I'm not in competition with anyone. I just left the doctors office where I was taken off of ALL MY MEDICATIONS! I weigh 317 lbs as of this morning and I haven't felt this good in MA NY years! I already loved biking before my surgery, but now I love it even more!
Today, I biked around 40kilometers (approx 25miles), it's not much but I try to bike around 25 to 30 km three times a week, and it feels pretty cool.
I am living in the countryside, so I get nicely paved roads and also dirt roads normally used for tractors and such stuff.
Biking feels really nice, and mixing it with swimming once a week has sure helped me a lot with my weightloss and my not so abundant skin excess.

Went to buy some new clothes since I looked like a ghost floating around old rags, and I was amazed I could fit in sweat shirts/shirts and jeans that looked ridiculously tiny to me. Kinda nice!

After a bit less than seven months I have lost ... 43 kilos (95pounds) and reached my goal weight!
So yeah, my surgeon was quite amazed when he saw me last week for a check-up! I am pretty glad to be honest I even dared to go to the beach and actually be shirtless, this hadn't happen in years!

So yeah this is basically how I looked like (4-5kilos before my heaviest weight), I don't have much pictures since I hated being in them (still not a big fan though) and it's actually one of the only I have got from that dreaded period. And this is me this morning, so far I have lost 38kilos (83,7pounds) since February 25th, not that bad

I am young as well, just one year older than you. I know it just straight up sucks at first: pain, liquid food that tastes like sh!t, etc.
I had regrets as well, but now I am already half through my weight goal in only 7 weeks.
Also you should follow the golden rule of the Internet: don't believe everything that is written on the internet. I got myself all worked up one week before surgery due to some stupid articles, but a rapid look at their sources (if they had any) quickly proved it was all based on ... nothing.
Just keep in mind that being obese is not healthy at all, and might as well have ruined your youth. I mean, I am 23 years old and was already having sleep apneas and backpain, things that should not happen at such a young age... Plus ablation of the stomach has been used in various situations to treat cancer for example. If you are afraid of growing older faster, drink more green tea and have a tiny piece of 70% black chocolate from time to time But I don't think it will happen since your article is nothing but a pile of dung.

Let yourself the time to heal and feel better, go to a support group and embrace the change. Enjoy your loss weight because it sure made me a lot happier Cheers!

I also hated to eat in public when I was obese, now it does not bother me anymore (even if I am not "thin" yet).
After a few days in Italy and the warm weather that has finally it my country, I am glad to say I can handle hot temperatures now!
I also have been getting loads of "compliments" from people I know telling how great I look now, that my face has completely changed.
Last but not least, I also bought some L shirts and shorts, a nice change from my 3XL shirts!
Been feeling pretty nice lately, what a change!
