Im so happy that I was able to get off my insulin! I still have like 25 lbs to go but I am not rushing! When you get closer to your goal, it is slower to lose it! To all of you, you are awesome and continue being beautiful inside and out!

9 months after getting sleeved, I just hit a pretty important milestone (for "metric" people) for I have indeed lost 50kilos!! (which roughly translates to 110,5pounds). I am really happy about the results, my lifestyle habits have changed for the best and I am so very glad I have reached more than my goal in less than a year, I know I'll have to stay focus and do my best to stay this way, but right now I am so glad I did it. Cheers everyone

Belgian guy i can't tell you what may have happened but you should not let this one incident take away from your confidence. You have overcome so much in life and were still able to get fit again. You were able to go out on a date and even a second date and she may or may not call you back but you can not let this one incident take so much control of your feelings, confidence, or life. Begian guy you are fit and handsome and going to a university which is probably filled with beautiful women. When you take a tumble you get back up and dust yourself off and get back at it again. You will be fine ☺

Couple of pics from 11/19/16. Had a early Thanksgiving with family and friends up in Michigan, haven't seen several of them since last year. Was definitely nice getting the compliments. Sometimes it's hard to notice the changes yourself that others can so easily see. I was actually called "tiny", which I do not ever recall having been described as. I know I have a ways to go, hoping for another 15-25lbs (least what I am working towards). I know now that at 200lbs., I am smaller than when I played ball back in high school many moons ago. Had a good weekend and it has given me a encouragement for the path towards my goal.

I started this process on May 4, and I had my surgery on September 12. In between, I lost 56 pounds. Since the surgery, I'm down another 39. I went from 5'5" and 285 to 5'5" and 190. I've lost 10 inches off my waist and went from a XXXL to a large. I stepped back through my old wardrobe so quickly that things I thought would fit for a while no longer fit at all, and I have to start from scratch on my wardrobe. My glucose is 92, I'm off the CPAP, I'm off the cholesterol drug on a trial basis. I look better than I have since high school. I go hiking multiple times a week, I swim multiple times a week, I just bought a kayak. And I'm still losing weight. The 100-pounds-lost mark is right around the corner.
This is successful, but not success. Success is many years away, when I'm on my deathbed having never become obese again. And I expect that to be many, many times more difficult than the last few months have been.

Winter is back and I must say I haven't felt this cold in years! This might be the only downside from weightloss but damn I am freezing all the time.

And this is me this morning. I have lost 105pounds so far.

My mom sent me these two pictures today--one she took at the hospital the morning of surgery, and one she took today to send to my aunt (who has also lost a great deal of weight). I can't believe how big of a difference it is at 3.5 months out! When I look in the mirror I feel like I look exactly the same as I did so it's nice to have progress pictures like this. I wish I had pictures like this of my highest weight lol.

Also wearing an outfit of jeans and a sweatshirt I bought in 2013 that never actually fit haha. Still a bit poochy in these jeans but they slipped on no problem

Hello! I was sleeved May 23/16 in Tijuana with Dr. Pompa. It was the best decision of my life! I'm (almost) 6 months post - op and down 50lbs. Would like to lose another 25-30lbs. I feel like the life I've wanted to live for years is finally within my reach!
