Only 35lbs lost in 3months - feeling discouraged
I'm similar. 10 weeks and 35 lbs. I had a 2 week stall with nothing. I started going to the gym this week and doing elliptical 30 mins and weight lifting. I'm also watching my carbs as I was eating oatmeal in morning. Switched it for eggs. The weight may not be as fast coming off as others but my clothes sure are getting looser. Let's stick in there. I'm sure with consistency we will continue to loose. Good luck. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Stall. MUCH earlier than expected.
Exact same weight loss and story here. Trying to be patient while I get all my Protein & Water but find it amazing as I'm having a hard time reaching 500 calories a day and yet have stalled on week 2. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Finally - surgery tomorrow
In hospital on night after sleeved. Observations : super sore, have pains on top of stomach. Weird they feel like hunger pain initially but after a burp I feel better. So gas. Nausea is real. They gave me meds but eating a few ice chips makes me nauseous. Just got up and walked 2 laps. So far so good. On my way. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Approval - took 6 months
I thought it would be quicker but since I had not regularly visited the doctor in the past few years, I didn't have enough recorded weights. I have united healthcare. The nurse manager wasn't a big help. She initially told me the weights were needed from past 5 years. This caused some delay. My recommendation for those that do not have recorded weights is to make your appointment with your PCP, discuss your reason and show up each month to record your weight. This extra time it took was beneficial as it gave me much time to think about this procedure. Excited. Scheduled surgery for Sept. 27th. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

United healthcare weight loss form
Interesting follow-up. I was allowed to use the nutritionalist consultation as a weighin but during this time of gathering the weights, one of my earlier one expired - outside Insurances 2 year ( previously told it was 5) time span. Crazy. I'm trying to see if they will take that earlier one as it qualified when we submitted the paperwork. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Can't believe this
Same happened to me. My insurance said my paper worked looked fine. I worked on getting my other requirements. Later insurance did not accept my claim as I need to have a dr. Sign off for 6 weigh ins. I could have scheduled these earlier and had met that requirement if they had just been more specific. I was very upset. However, trying to stay positive and thinking I will just keep going with this. I have 2 more months. Time does fly by. The extra time gives you time to mentally prepare. Just keep moving forward. Think, it will mean even more to you once you've satisfied those requirements. You can do it!!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

United healthcare weight loss form
So I sorted this out. Had to print multiple forms and deliver them to my different doctors. I have a requirement of 6 weights to be logged. 3 came in so 3 more to go. I explained to my PCP that I wish to have this done. She was supportive so I'll continue to see her. Looking then to have my last requirements met by end of July. Yay!
