It's been 8 months for me and I am having a hard time noticing. However, everyone around me says it was noticeable after a month.I am 8 days post op. Every time I look in the mirror I swear my face looks thinner, but it seems so early to see a change. How long before you started noticing a difference? How long before others started making comments? Thanks!

Hi thereI'm wondering if anyone had issues with husbands and in laws not being supportive. My husband was on board until his mother got involved and now he forbids it. I'm wondering if anyone went along with their decision even without the support? Did they come around after? I'm really stressed and bummed out. I need to hear some simular stories and how they panned out.

I had my gastric sleeve procedure in March this year. I waited for two long years because I didn't have the full support I desired from my husband and select family members. I had to come to grips that this was my health and wellness at stake, not theirs. Here I am eight months later and 108lbs lighter feeling better than ever! Yes you will need support but they love you and probably will come around once you've made up your mind.
Cheers and good luck your way,

My doctors gave me a combination of medicines and it helped. How are you with Water?

@@jane13 I'm doing a lot better, thank you. I have been doing my best to get fluids in and keep full liquids down. They gave me nausea medicines to take and it has been helping.

@@Raincries Wow! You are indeed a trooper getting two surgeries in one.
I haven't experienced the dizzies, only nausea. Have you had your two weeks follow up yet? I had mine today and found out I may have to get periodically hydrated via IV. They also gave me powdered Vitamins to put in my Water that tastes like CrystalLight and helps with nausea. Maybe your docs can run tests and get to the bottom of it. Our bodies are adjusting big time, so anything can happen. Best of luck to you, keep in touch!

Hi, guys! I was also sleeved on the 2nd. It's been rough with nausea, but I think the worst is over. I had to go to the hospital because I was throwing up. I think dehydration was the culprit. They gave me fluids and ran some other tests just to make sure. Well, afterwards, I went for a little walk today and felt pretty good. Down 26.2lbs since surgery. Post op visit is coming up 3/17...

So I had a post a little bit ago stating foods weren't tasting right to me. It progressed to the point where even I can't tolerate a popsicle! I have been sipping on Water, though. I haven't eaten in about three days now and am extremely nauseated. I vomited today, so I reached out to my surgeon. He is having me sip on hot tea and water for now and I am to go into the hospital tomorrow via his orders. I am nervous because I don't want to stay another night in a hospital (they were very good to me). Has anyone been through this? Needing encouragement right now

So I am one week out from surgery, and I am supposed to have soft foods according to my doc/dieticians. Everything I eat/drink now makes me want to hurl, including Vitamins. If I don't eat anything, then I feel fine. It seems like sips of Water, ice chips, and popsicles only suffice. I want to do this right, but I'm not sure if my body is ready to leave the liquids.

I was sleeved 3/2 and still nothing but passing gas. I also haven't been eating much. I'm thinking about using a stool softner for some help
