  3. I am on optifast for 3 weeks before surgery. 4-5 Shakes per day only and 8 cups of water including the water in the shakes and I'm allowed 2 cups of brocolli celery or lettuce per day if I need it and I'm 1 week and 2 days into the pre op diet and I'm down 20 lbs already it's a great diet and was hard at first but now not bad at all
  4. Yes my dr said the same although I have seen many others who didn't wait which scares me a bit
  5. Yes I am doing my optifast 900 diet so only protein shakes and water for 3 weeks I can also have up to 2 cups of brocolli celery or lettuce per day if I absolutely need it which I have only eaten 2 times
  6. Soooo 1 week down of optifast and 2 to go liquids only and some brocolli if I have to but went for my pre op app today and I'm down 18lbs in 1 week AHHHHH so happy and not as bad as they say!

  9. There is unflavored protein powder you can add to anything really so maybe try that
  10. Yep its all a learning curve hun don't let one slip get you down cuz there will probably be 5 more before your journey is over you are learning and adjusting to a whole new life so get up dust yourself off and get back on track no pain no gain
  11. If you don't like water you can try the sugar free MIO or water flavoring just tastes like juice and there is tons of options for different flavors! Also eating ice will help keep you hydrated too

  16. Yea I know exactly what you mean lol one day at a time. I dealt with it in a public family dinner last night where everyone was munching on bread and chili I was sipping my shake and they seem to be sensitive but they don't get it I love this app for this
  17. Every surgeon has different standards and it is based on weight as well as a bunch 0f other things I have seen some who don't have to do any preop liquid diet and others up go 4 weeks on here Some people need to do a 6 month diet and loose before surgery is even considered
  18. Yea I expected that too and to have horrible hunger pains but I don't. My biggest hunger pain is in my head my body is satisfied it's so wierd

  21. I am using optifast through the Dr for preop but after surgery 9 have found Six Star Whey Isolate it has 60g protein 0g fat 0g sugar per 2 scoops. With added plain protein powder you can get your needed protein and obviously the vits u need too. That's my plan
