  1. Hey, I think you're right. I just read something from national Institute of health. But, I still don't get that if it's removed why is there still a chance to gain weight. I guess it's because even if we're not hungry, people can still eat the wrong things. This road could be tougher than expected. I just pray I can stay busy doing things and not think about eating. 5. Sorry, but that ghrelin hormone is not removed, that's why there's a chance of regaining. I think the RNY removes the hormone. I had hunger pains for 2 to 3 weeks. It will go away after a while though. [emoji4] Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using BariatricPal mobile app
  6. I feel the same way. We just need to channel our thinking to something else. This time off work has really got me thinking of changing careers. But, ensuring it will benefit my family. Maybe take a class, read a novel, write your journey down. Anything to keep your hopes up and eyes on a better life ahead [emoji4] Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using BariatricPal mobile app

  15. I couldn't have any solids and I still can't. I'm 3 weeks out. I want some eggs. All I can have is broth, cream soups, sugar jello /pudding, grits, sugar free Popsicles, oatmeal and cream of wheat, protein shakes, and skim milk. My body doesn't agree with oatmeal, cream of wheat and milk right now. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using BariatricPal mobile app
  16. I can't get protein, I'm lactose intolerant, I had hunger pains, I hear weird noises from my stomach. My hair is thin, I'm tired all of the time. I miss popcorn, pizza, grilled cheese, and wings. But guess what? I love "Stacey" that's what I call my sleeve. I've lost 24lbs so far. I'm 12 days out. HW242, CW218, GW: 2BASize8. 19. Yes, I figured it was because of 1% milk. Then I tried fat free so I won't be drinking milk for a while. Did it because I'm supposed to drink milk and clear liquids Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using BariatricPal mobile app
  20. Anyone else experience having the "runs" and it going through the front? I'm scared. I called the surgeon and he said it has nothing to do with the surgery. But, I never had this before prior to surgery. My first time dealing with this was last Friday. Surgeon told me to drink more water that night and it should clear up. I drank more water and it did go away. I drank skim milk again today and the same thing happened. Still sipping water and hopefully it will clear up. Going to see nurse practitioner tomorrow morning so she can check me out. Smh, what is happening to me? [emoji22] [emoji21] [emoji26] Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using BariatricPal mobile app

  22. @Alex Brecher, as you know, emotions can't be read online. However, I could have expounded on it a little further by saying that I too have cheated on my pre-op diet and realized the error and made the correction. No hard feelings to anyone I may have offended and it's clearly not my intent as I have been a member since last year and have faced many obstacles along the way and posted many comments without any issues or complaints. I don't know any of you personally, but I do respect all of you and appreciate your feedback and tips I have learned along the way. Again, to the author of this post and the person who saw it was an issue and think the comment should be banned, my apologies if I offended anyone and not my intention.
