@@lisam1972, have you had any followup appointments yet to the nutritionist or surgeons office? Maybe they can guide you a little more. However, it may be that dang Water retention as @@PorkChopExpress said. Hang in there! At least you're not gaining weight....

@@KristenLe, I'm so happy for you. Like @@KathyawesomeSmith said, you are so good about supporting others and I'm so glad you had your surgery and it's working well for you. Keep up the good work!
  9. Hi, What does the insurance company look for when you have sleep apnea as a co-morbidity? I'm thinking about ordering a sleep test hoping to have a positive test being that I have most of the symptoms already. But, I didn't want to pay $300. Can I order a CPAP without a prescription? Will my insurance approve me without a sleep study? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using the BariatricPal App
  10. @@TJ1257, I'm sorry to hear you had to go through those things. I'm I don't have any other co-morbidities and going to my 4th month NUT visit next month. I take metformin for PCOS. Metformin is a diabetes med. I wish PCOS was a co-morbidity. In the meantime, I'm going to see a cardiologist to see why I keep having chest pains.
  11. I told my doctor to get me a referral for a home sleep test because going to a lab costs more than my deductible.
  12. Thanks everyone. I guess I need to stop being cheap...
  13. I have BCBS of Michigan. I'm in the 3 month nutritional visit. I'm vegetarian and I love Premier Protein. I've lost 20lbs and I have PCOS.
  14. Awesome! How do you feel?
  15. Hi everyone, I am coming to terms that the journey to WLS is over. I have done the low carb, high Protein, no sugar, no bread plan, 3 hrs a week of exercise, and it has put me under the BMI of 40. My first weigh in was at 240, 5'4, now I weigh 222. I don't have any co-morbidities. The nurse said that I need to gain weight so I can still qualify. Well, I don't want to gain weight. I enjoy not having the aches and pains any more. I'm going to continue my NUT visits since I'm 3 months in. My husband and close friend told me to keep up this lifestyle and I may not need the surgery. I can understand their point, I just don't want to look up and gain everything back and then some. I guess what I'm saying is, I miss the bad foods. And, I want to eat it, but, I'm a person who can't cheat, or it will get out of control. So, for the past month, I've been really strict with what I eat. What are your thoughts? BTW, my BCBS insurance says my 6 month nutritional visits are good for 4 years, but things can change at any time. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using the BariatricPal App
  16. Gaining weight is not an option since I want a lifestyle change. Definitely not going to commit fraud
  17. Thanks everyone! Your feedback has been a big help. I'm a past yo-yo dieter and it's been rough trying to get back under 200lbs. That's my long term goal. I'm going to keep pushing through this so, I'll have them submit my information when everything is done. But the surgeon office charges $250 to submit it through the insurance company. I wonder if I can submit it without paying the $250 bucks. I shouldn't be so cheap, but, why does it cost anything to submit to the insurance company. Oh well..I'll have to use my HSA money.
