    Sleeve soon!

Hi all I've been doing okay. My only issue is my very low energy levels especially at day but strangely feel better at night! Anyways, I have a question: why is the moment I drink water, it's the same moment I rush to the bathroom? I've been drinking a lot of water so going to the bathroom a lot which is a good thing but why is at the same moment that I drink I rush straight to the bathroom? Anyone had this? I was freaking out yesterday and couldn't breathe along with my back pain so I called the emergency and they took me to hospital and the doctor was shocked that I hadn't had any bowel movements for more than 10 days! I told her that's because I'm on a liquid diet and she was like I have to. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I had Soup today and some juice early in the morning. Everything is okay except for my back. I don't know is it because of the surgery or my period. It's not painful, just feels uncomfortable to sit on a chair or anything else. I only feel better when I lay down. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Susansuan I think his name is Dr Kowalski? Something like that. He's the only one working there. You can find YouTube videos of him; type "KMC Poland". And I really don't know what to say : ) For me, myself, I think it would have been way better if I had someone with me but that's just me. I don't know about you. I think you just have to well prepared and strong. I think for me mainly it was a matter of being emotionally strong. There was another guy with me with his father in law and he was feeling good after surgery unlike me. And he came to my room and encouraged me to get up, drink Water, and walk and feel better. So yeah, I guess mentally and emotionally I needed someone with me so that's why I was mostly scared. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I showered today and had some diluted cranberry juice. And now I feel VERY tired and sleepy. I can't even focus and study. When will this feeling of exhaustion and being sleepy go away? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Wait. You still have your incisions? I thought they disappear in two months and this whole changing-dressing process would be over! On another note, I'm supposed to have my period on 17 or 18 but I think I just got it.... Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Ahhhh Rosie! I can't wait! I'm already losing a few kilos and it feels great : ) Will go to tesco and buy jelly and creamed Soup and almond milk. And I'll probably see my GP on Tuesday. I'll also change the dressing either today or tomorrow. How do you shower without wetting your incisions? I know it's ok if the dressing gets wet and then I'll only have to dry it and change it but I'm being overly cautious! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Update: As I'm living in campus and surrounded my many of my friends. Two of them saw me (thought that I travelled for vacation) and were shocked, "wow! You lost weight! What did you do?" I told them just dieting and I went walking a lot. I just hope no one notices that I've had surgery! What did you tell others when they asked about your weight loss? I'm still having dreams about eating food. So much pizza, bread, burgers and everything. It's irritating. Hopefully my mind will stop this. Handled my injection well and did it but I still didn't change the dressing? (Is that what it's called?) And really thank you everyone for all the comments and your encouraging words! : ) Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

UK Cathy I'm really amazed how I've been quiet about my op. I mean it was hard and I'm kind of person who has to talk and let it out. I figured I'd share with my best cousin who already went through the same thing but I still didn't. As for the rest, I'm just telling them I'm dieting hard. I feel more comfortable this way especially at this time. As for stitches, they told me that they are absorbable and they'll dissolve in time. I just need to clean them and change. GP isn't replying yet so hopefully I'll get an appt tomorrow or Monday. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I texted my patient coordinator that I had orange juice cz the cardiology doctor said I couldn't! I told him well she should have known better! I mean, I'm 6 days post op and been living only on water! I'm allowed to have sugar free jelly, broth, Popsicles and such but I didn't know where I can find them in Poland and of course the clinic didn't care about my request. They just wanted me to live on Water. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I tried to stay awake and not faint but I couldn't and as I was alone and the way home is around 5 hours I went to buy the least sugar content juice which was orange juice and drank little. It was very sweet but at least I stopped feeling dizzy and was able to walk and carry my bag. Now IM HOME SWEET HOME!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️ back to the UK! I swear ever since I stepped into the Uk I've been smiling! Feeling good now! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I'm at the airport now in Poland waiting an hour to board and its s long way until I reach home. I'm feeling very dizzy I don't know what to do. I had plenty of Water but it's not helping and I'm scared to have juice, all the ones here sold are regular ones with high sugar content Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Came back tired but it totally made me feel better! So I'll keep walking everyday. Been sleeping all day. Can't wait to be back home tomorrow! Home sweet home! my room! My bed! My friends! And tesco hahahaha! I wanna buy sugar free jelly and Popsicles. I still haven't tried to drink anything but Water. And I badly need to stop thinking about food. Junk food. I don't know why but all medications they prescribed were tablets and the doctor today told me to crush them and swallow fast because they would taste horrible! I'm thinking of returning medication except for my antibiotic and buying new ones from the UK hopefully liquid form. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Thanks, Gina! My patient coordinator is picking me up in few hours to go to the clinic for final checkup and injection. They gave me a paper as to what should I drink/eat each week. And this week it's only broth - decaf tea and coffee and jelly and sugar free drinks. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

There are so many things I did not like about the clinic. So many. But with my incisions pain and feeling weak, I cannot be mad now. So I'll leave it for later. Also, to be honest, from my part, I didn't think it was a major surgery! I mean I know all about it but seeing all my aunts and my cousins being sleeved back in my country, I thought it's easy and painless and I'll recover in no time! That's why I didn't think about post op care, I thought I could it do it all on my own. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

If it says that I can have "sugar free drinks that are not carbonated" does this mean juice? I really need to have something other than water... Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I'm doing okay. Much better. Feeling a tiny slight headache. Slept for 12 hours which I think is enough. Trying to think of how to shower without wetting my incisions. Gina, i had a sleeve surgery and I don't know about post op care. My family have no clue at all that I had surgery but my best friend back in the Uk knows and I'll be informing my GP in the UK and tell her that I had surgery. I'll check today if they sell compression stockings here at the pharmacy and buy them. Too be honest, the thing that frightens me other than being alone here is my dissertation which needs to be submitted in almost a month! I think I'm the only person in the world who would go out of their mind to have surgery before a short period of their deadline... I'll tell you something but don't laugh lool. Yesterday I had more than one dream (nightmare to be specific) that I was eating so much food hahahaha! In the first dream aka nightmare I ate the whole dinner table and finished by eating more than a croissant! At one point, I could barely breath! I felt like chocking so I woke up frightened and actually believing than I'm eating in reality lol! Strange... Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Rosie & Gina Thank you so much for all your encouraging words and comments. You have no idea how they have helped me yesterday to stop being lazy and get up and walk and try my hardest to sip Water. I bought all medication except for Vitamins which I'll get in the UK and the clinic didn't mention anything about surgical compression stockings. Maybe cz the flight is only an hour and 15 minutes? I have another question which the clinic didn't give me a definite answer for: how much liters/ml do I need to be drinking of water so I won't get dehydrated? Also, The clinic discharged me and I'm at the hotel now until tomorrow. Should I go down to the hotel restaurant and order clear Soup or a juice? I'm starving and sometimes I get dizzy no matter how much water I drink and walk. I'm flying home early Thursday morning. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
