  1. Just a few days ago, the 28th. Was in the hospital overnight. Feeling ok, very sore on the right side, must be where the biggest incision is, feels like I got hit by a baseball bat when I move just wrong. If I'm still, no pain. Having a really bad reaction to the adhesive, you can see the square outline of the pad they used, plus a few circles from the monitors.

As far as food and drink, it's a challenge to get enough in through the day, I focus more on nutrition and less on Fluid. I do a Protein drink for two of my six planned meals, usually first thing in the am and mid afternoon. I've had cream of wheat, yogurt, chicken broth, sugar free Popsicle today was good. Really tired yet, still taking the liquid meds for pain. Wishing I could do more physically but I don't want to push it.

    Heaviest weight is around 320

Weight first day of bariatric program was 303

Day of surgery is was 254

Haven't weighed yet, going to wait a week or so to get rid of fluids from the hospital.

    Good luck to you all!

  2. Had a rough morning, I guess it has all hit me, that I'm having WLS tomorrow, my emotions are all over the place. I question, should I do this, I don't want to, then I do. I'm pretty sure this is normal.

I feel the same, my surgery is Wednesday. I've been able to lose 40 pounds on my own, so I'm questioning if I really need it. But then I think that I do need it, but then I worry ......hope all goes well for you tomorrow!

  3. Like lolly I meet my surgeon on the first to get my date. My clinic only has a two day prep diet, so it can go pretty quickly. So excited to stop preparing and start doing. I'm down 34 from my first appointment in March, doing well I think. We'll see as I am spending the first week of September on vacation in Breckinridge with my hubby for our anniversary. Best of luck to you all, can't wait to see where we all are next September!

Oh, I live in a little town just outside Green Bay, wi.

  4. I have PCOS and am on metformin, 1500 mg extended release. Have lost 11 since my initial on March 7th by cutting out most carbs and soda. I met with my nutrition program and was cautioned to be careful to not loose too much or I won't quality anymore. I can lose 38 and still be ok, hard to think that I may be able to do this amount as I've tried for years to lose. I guess the big thing for me was to get the crap food out of the house, no candy, snack cakes, crackers, chips, Pasta, all that stuff. I eat lots of meat and eggs, found some good bread for sandwiches for my lunches at work, lots of fruit and vegetables to fill in the gaps. I keep cheese and sausage on hand for snacking. Lots of Water. I rarely exercise, still have my McDonald's breakfasts a few days a week, just in moderation.

Good luck with your weight loss goals, it seems so daunting but when you feed your body fuel instead of garbage, it makes it much easier from my experience.

  5. In had mine yesterday, was easier than I thought it would be. I had to do that 344 question test, talked about my life, weight loss in the past, why I chose surgery, support at home, where I turn for stress relief, my personal goals, etc. took less than an hour and she cleared me!
