    Surgeon Stats

I have to use Kaiser. The surgeon had a Web page with most of that info. I tried doing a review of a few places on yelp or whatever on google. Wasn't very helpful.

    Pre-op diet - no energy

I have similar problem. Been on 1200 calorie diet for a month. Yesterday was first time I fell off. I ransacked my house looking for carbs. Cravings were off the roof. Hope today is better. I have 6 pounds to lose in a month. Surgery hopefully end of april. I am afraid to weigh in today. Probably gained from yesterday. Fortunately, there wasn't many things to find to eat yesterday. Today's another day! If I can get out of bed.

    Blood Clots!

Good luck. Ya my clots have been only in my legs. I think it is smart to get filter if you have already had a P.E.

    Blood Clots!

I had one for one my surgeries. They removed it after. Simple procedure. My dr. Decided against it for my sleeve. I know mine cost 14K. Not sure they use them as often as they use to.

    Blood Clots!

I have had 3 DVTs. (Deep veined thromrosis) One after knee surgery from a car wreck that put me in hospital for a month. (30 years ago) they pumped heparin into me through my IV. They told me that I had a 90% chance of having a clot go to my brain or lungs and dying. And I'd never be able to have kids. I have 2 ,one adopted. The second after I was pregnant and travelled cross country and slept in my car. Hospitalized for a week. Two of my sisters have had clots. One a P.E. That's when we found out that we have Leiden Factor V. A predisposition to getting clots. You can get a blood test to see if you have it. The third was when I tripped in garage. Went to hospital and got an ultrasound and they said, yep you have a clot in your leg. Then they sent me home. I drove myself! They've come a long ways in caring for clots. For surgeries, they give me Lovenox as a bridge from the lifetime Coumadin (blood thinner) I need to take now. Make sure they put compression boots on while they do surgery. Probably routine nowadays. It pumps your calves to help circulation. Be sure and get up and walk. 15 min an hour seems excessive. I have had multiple surgeries since my last blood clot. Thyroidectomy, hysterectomy, gallbladder surgery. I am concerned with any surgery. Just keep ambulatory and let your dr. know of your concerns. Blood clots happen to healthy and unhealthy alike. I know a tennis pro who had one and cost him his life. Freak thing. Good luck!

    6 days to go!

I have a sister like that. Good luck
  18. Mine is about 6 weeks out. Bought some 2 oz. containers for food after. An ice tray to freeze small servings of liquids. Sent off for samples of protein powders from here, vitalady, and got free ones from BiProUSA. Message them on facebook page and they send you one of each flavor to try. Sampling liquid protein drinks. Practicing not drinking with meals and chewing 30 times for each bite.

    HCG diet and sleeve

No reply. But I wanted to once again say hcg did work for me 6 years ago went from 246 to 199 after 2 rounds. Tried again last year did 2 rounds got to 230s. But after a few months of chgd eating. Sticking with more natural foods adding good fats back in and I still slowly gained to my highest weight of 267. I am still eating well. Cut my portions and am excercising. Lost 12 pounds on preop diet. But really need to lose 100 more. So this is better option for me long term. Oh and I have met many many people who have regained on hcg who have stuck to proticol. If you only have 50 or less pounds to lose hcg is great option. Although my Dr. Kept telling me it wasn't healthy for me. I also have many comorbidities and need knee surgery. Got to get this weight off. I am more 56 and want a long life.

    Prices

My sister just had her tummy tuck, breast augmentation and liposuction done in Utah. Was self pay at $15000. Same Surgeon did my other sister's TT and thighs.they were both happy with surgeon Dr. Crofts. But my sister that just had it had complications...esophagitis and had to be rehospitalized and ended up with a staph infection too. Fortunately, her insurance covered the second stay and had only copays. I'm guessing another thousand or so. She's doing and looking great now. Sent from my SM-N920T using the BariatricPal App
