    dead inside...

@devillyn. I truly can't imagine your pain. I do have a friend who lost her son to Suicide about 6 months ago and she has said the grief groups & counseling she got did help. The only thing I want to add to what others have said is to look into a special type of therapy called EMDR. it is probably the best therapy for trauma which is definitely what you have gone through. You can find out more & practitioners at emdria.org. And be good to & take care yourself during this time. Praying for you. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  11. I like your viewpoint of how God has provided this opportunity and that he has plans to use it for his glory. Amen! I also have a deep Christian worldview and I definitely express that in all types of interactions. I am not ashamed of that. I'm also not trying to make anyone else believe or do anything. The choice to be a follower ofJesus or not is up to each individual. I hope we get some more people on this forum because I know that it is only through Jesus that I will be able to make this journey, no matter the outcome. And I would personally like to be able to give and receive all the spiritual support possible. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    What to get before surgery?

Slippers, robe, fuzzy (warm) socks, loose comfy pants, sweatpants, Chapstick , no jewelry, maybe a book just in case, slip on shoes to wear home, 1-2 extra t-shirts and my favorite zip up hoody. No electronics. My hubby can bring if I need to stay over 2nd night. All according to my SIL who had sleeve surgery 6 mo ago. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
