  3. I'm going to first and foremost say I agree with what everyone above said. Now, I'm going to play devils advocate: Is it possible that whenever you speak to them, it has something to do with your surgery or weight loss? Are most of your FB posts about it too? I ask for one reason- someone I know who had the surgery a few years ago went on and on with anyone and everyone they could- constantly. After about 6-8 months of this, people either turned their heads and rolled their eyes, avoided being around her, and often gossiped to one another about how sick and tired they were hearing about it. Woman STILL has no clue- and never got the message as she is still so absorbed in her weight loss and her surgery. Please know I'm not saying you are like this- it's just another perspective. Of course, if this IS an issue, you can still turn them off in your psyche if discussing it all of the time helps YOU. Either and any which way- YOU be YOU- and enjoy yourself and all your accomplishments! Good luck!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  10. Here's the recipe for the zucchini frites: Zucchini Frites- I zucchini cut into French Fry size pieces 1 egg and 1 tbl Water, beaten 1/4 c almond flour 1 scoop unflavored Protein powder 1 tbl garlic powder Salt and pepper 1/4 c Parmesan cheese 1/4 Panko crumbs Mix almond flour, Protein Powder and seasonings in a zip lock bag. Add zucchini and shake to coat. Dip each in egg mixture, roll in Panko ( you don't need a lot- just a bit for crunch, so don't coat them in Panko) Set on cookie sheet that has been sprayed and then spritz them all with Pam ( I use the olive oil spray) and bake at 425 til golden. You can shave a little fresh parm on top, and drizzle some ranch on them too! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  11. I would have offered delivery, but I can't stand the "boom chicka wah wah". If you would have gone to the 90's Divinyls hit, I might have considered it. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App Divynyls? Funny, I get the reference. Or as Woody Allen said "Don't knock it, it is sex with someone I love". We must be of a similar age lol Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  13. I'd say for a good number of people here, myself included, it's one of the hardest issues we deal with. I'm allowed to drink right up to my first bite. I'm fortunate (?) enough that I feel a horrid pain if I drink too soon after eating. Don't care for the pain, so it is enough of a motivator. I also find that when I'm finished eating, I get up, start cleaning up and doing the dishes and by the time I'm finished there, I'm good to go. Also, make certain your meals have a lot of moisture in them- you're less likely to want to drink then. Good luck. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Well, the run I just left the house to do, as well as the gardening later, is not happening. I'm stuck! Across from a Taco Bell and White Castle. 24. Yes, you need to figure out if you can tolerate the sarcasm- but usually- and this is key- those with a known dry wit are usually replied to and/or laughed at by fellow members who know them- and all the good they also bring to the mix. Like the saying goes...if you can't stand the heat, lay off the Tabasco. (See how I wound that back to the hot sauce topic? Damn. I'm good!) Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
