    Salad....ever again? If so when?

I am 3.5 months out. I have been eating salad since 8 weeks. I eat about a cup of it at a sitting and I love it! It has not caused me any problems. I always have protein with it.

    Runny nose

I had my surgery on 4/27. I get a runny nose when I am full- I know this because in the beginning I would ignore the runny nose, eat too much and get sick- I now use it as a barameter to stop eating at that sitting. It has been a help and people think I am crazy but I have embraced my runny nose as a sign.

    Weight loss timeline

    Surgery Date: 4/27/2016 Starting Weight: 268 Current weight: 208 5' 6" and 52 Hoping to be 158
  4. I am 9 weeks out and this was happening to me plus at times I was nauseous and vomiting. My surgeon put me on Pantoprazole 50d - it is a prescription anti reflux. It has helped tremendously in the past 3 weeks. I take one a day and I am eating more of a variety of foods and doing almost no sliming, I find I still slime if I eat too fast.
  5. Genepro saved my life too!

7 weeks Post-op FULL OF REGRETS

Glad you went back to hospital! I am also 7 weeks out with bouts of nausea and vomitting. The Anti nausea medicine made me sickeR!!! Ativan (sp?) helped me - it's an anti anxiety drug...it allowed me to get some sleep and sips of grape Gatorade! Good luck!
  7. My PCP had to sign off on my surgery before I could have it. She was very supportive. She got results of all of my pre op tests and was very informed of my pre surgery details. I would find another PCP that you can have as an extra layer of support and information!!
  8. I also am using genepro

    Westchester/NYC New York Sleevers

I am in Yorktown and was sleeved on 4/27. It has taken time for my sleeve to acclimate to my body. Each day I get stronger.KMP85 I would love to meet up! I think this has been a harder journey than I imagined but I know it will get better in time.

    In the first month

I am down 26 lbs and will be a month out on Wed. I had some hard time with food about 2 weeks out so I am very slow on introducing things to my sleeve. A lifesaver for me has been gene pro unflavored protein in diet peach Snapple every morning and one premier protein shake a day.
  12. Thanks for sharing!!!! I'm glad you are OK,

    No Pre Op Diet

I am also scheduled for 4/28!!! I found out yesterday and screamed with excitement in his office! Lol. I walked out and his staff was smiling and laughing at me. I have to start a liquid diet on 4/15. I have to have 3 shakes a day- he wants me to us the NY Bariatric ones and then I can have an egg or yogurt or cottage cheese (which I hate) between meals so he said to eat low fat ricotta instead. I have a 90 minute class to go to on the 11th where I expect to get more info. No vitamins for me until after surgery.
