    Why did I do this?

but how do u know, in the beginning when you "full" or satisfied for a better term?
  5. Has anyone felt good enough to start incorporating puréed foods in early than the 7 day mark... Like day 5 or 6? Last night I went to a steak house for a friends birthday and drank Water. I was sleeved on 3/7. I am also drinking pretty normal amounts with not much discomfort. - grateful & desperate for purée

    Why did I do this?

U are not alone!!!!!! I just crave everything ...... Today I had mashed potatoes, never really felt "full" but for some reason just stopped eating. A normal serving for some reason was broken up into 3. I think this is my new full? But yes, commercials, smells, life... I just want so many different things

    Happiness

Today is the big day, March 7th at 1pm. I literally have these intense feelings of bliss, happiness, and a good kind of anxiousness. I went from being completely paranoid about the anesthesia to getting over that fear. Not completely but for the most part. And I now I am just so grateful for all the support I have and all that I have learned from this forum. I feel so completely READY. The first day I came onto this site a girl wrote to me and said girl enjoy your journey and omg what amazing words. This has been such a journey so far and I just feel endless gratitude for the good and the bad. I was literally in the hospital having a panic attack two weeks ago to hysterically crying to a friend about my biggest fears to now being so happy. Thanks for all the support and nice words and story sharing. See you all on the other side.

I am missing my comfort too ..... This is our withdrawal period during rehab. That's how I like to think of it.... In retrospect this will probably be the hardest part.

    Happiness

Today is one week postop ... I feel pretty amazing considering how I felt .. I was very in tune with my body pre op and now I feel like I am getting to know myself again which can be challanging at times. On Saturday night my friend had a birthday at a steakhouse and I went. Had only Water and left before the food came out. My energy was up and I didn't want to miss it. I try to walk as much as I can. Physically and mentally I get better every day. I am very excited to finally have a new normal which I am realizing Takes time. I have been taking normal sips and even guzzled water the other day bc I forgot I couldn't and was actually OK. My throat and ear has been hurting so bad. I wasn't taking my acid reflux meds bc I really hate meds and once I did I instantly felt so much better. I've decided to just take them for the best couple of months. My next app is this Wednesday and I look forward to seeing the doctor. How are you doing ?

This is hard for me and I'm not the best example. I haven't been able to get all of my protein in. The jay bob protein is by far the best and pre op I drank it like a champ.. Post op not so much. The peanut butter powder helps though. Have you heard of it? And I use almond milk, unsweetened of course. I have a very hard time with sugar free tasting things as well so lemon water, Gatorade (3 times a day 4oz max) ice pops (edys no sugar added), plain water, sometimes broth, miso or wonton.. These things really got me through

    2 Days Post-op.

I agree, YOU have to do what YOUR body can handle. Once I did that I stopped vommitting. I wasn't ready for protein on day 2, I knew that and listened to my mother. Now I go by what I want and as long as I progress every day I am happy w that. Hang in there...

    Why did I do this?

I am 5 days out and completely understand. I did NOT expect to be down for whatever reasons. At day 5 I'm feeling, better. Not 100% but not so regretful. You wanted this for a reason, you went through everything for a reason and someone told me the other day no pain no gain, in our case no loss. Hang in there, you are in the worst of it now. Walking was my BFF even though it took a lot out of me. Hang in there ????
