Hello everybody I have not posted on here for while but I thought this might be some motivation for people that are struggling. I weight . 276 at the hospital on 2/29 now in with 175! I am craving a salad so badly right now. I'm 5 weeks post op. When can I have it?? With protein of course.

It made my menstrual cycle worse. I've had my period for a month now since surgery

Thank you guys. They didn't mention anything about drinking more but I think it would be a wise choice for me to just to cleanse things out.

That's the first place I lost weight. Went from 8.5 w to 8 regular

So went to the ER last night, and found I have a kidney infection. Luckily I caught it right when it spread to the kidney from the bladder so no serious damage. I got CAT scan and they said there is no leak in my stomach so that's not what caused it. Just a weakened immune system from the surgery. Just when I was starting to feel better

Yes. I started the process in January and got the surgery on 2/29. 35 pounds down!

Everything went super easy with BCBS RI. I didn't even have to have 6 months of class, or recorded weight loss. I was amazed at the process.

The first time It really sunk in when I was doing ballroom dancing with my crush in 8th grade. My crush said "you would be really pretty if you just lost some weight" I was so mad I stopped dancing with him and sat down for the rest of the lesson. I think I was only 15 pounds over weight at the time too.

Like my surgeon said the liquid diet is the hardest part of this process. Once you get over it will be much easier. G2 blue also helped me alot

Shoes are too big!!

Small victory today. My stall is over and now I'm 33 pounds down since surgery about 2.5 weeks ago. Two things I've really noticed so far: shoes are too big and my towel wraps around my body without giving anybody a peep show. Happy Dance

I got sleeved on 2/29 and had a TERRIBLE cold. I was so nervous it would interfere with my surgery but my doctor said I should be fine. I was told by someone the anaesthesia would help it and it DID! My cold was completely gone after I went under. It really helps dry up the system. Don't worry you should be fine and to top it off the saline IV should keep you hydrated which further stops the cold.

I was totally elated over my recent weight loss. I just had my stomach cut open to help me lose weight and now to see a stall this early is just disappointing. Sure it's not a big deal stalls happen, but emotions run high right after the procedure and this should be a place to vent.

I had a similar rash/acne on my neck right after surgery. It went away after I used proactive and a blackhead scrub.

So my surgery was on 2/29 and I lost about 20 pounds. All the sudden now since Monday I haven't lost any weight at all not even 0.5 of a pound. I'm still on a full liquid diet and don't understand why this is happening. It's very discouraging. Was this all for nothing? I'm working so hard, getting my protein in, trying to get exercise in (still haven't gotten the approval to start a full blown exercise plan, DR just wants me to walk). Tell me I'm not crazy.

Hey everybody I've switched over from pre forum to post. I had my surgery on Monday. I have some personal questions I can't find the answers to. First off, I am extremely mentally hungry. Like I could eat a whole pizza hungry. The food craving haven't gone away. I thought cutting out the stomach took away some of the hunger hormone? Next question: (TMI) I am very constipated. Merilax is not doing anything. What can I do?

Just had my surgery done. I too was very nervous about being put under. But it all happened so fast you won't have time to worry about it. They will give you oxygen, my doctor told me to focus on something good so I pictured myself on the beach of mexico, I didn't even remember him counting down the next thing BAM I was out.
