  1. Nope, no Wii here either. We had one, but it was my son's and he traded it for a PS3.......
  2. I'm approaching three month out from my surgery. I started with a BMI just a little above yours. My decision to have the band instead of bypass was based on the fact that the band does not require permanent re-routing of my digestive system. I was never comfortable with that concept. As for hunger....even though my band is only at 2cc in a 10cc band, I rarely feel true hunger. When I do, I stop to think and it's usually been four hours or so since I've eating....a small snack, such as a handful of grapes or a string cheese stick, will hold me nicely until my next meal. I do constantly battle with the 'head' hunger.....boredom, snack attacks.....but that's getting better as well. Fortunately my doctor was/is very supportive of the band. She does both procedures almost equally, but gives each patient the pros and cons for both procedures. The outcome, a ways down the road, with lap band and bypass is practically identical so it made no sense for me to have the more invasive procedure. I am also a self-pay.....the difference in the price between the two procedures wasn't a major factor, but certainly lap band is less expensive.
  3. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA.....clever marketing! Your agent will be proud!
  4. I don't live in Salt Lake, but a little further north in Ogden..... feel free to contact me anytime!
  5. I experienced some shoulder pain after my adjustments.....and if I eat too fast. It's some sort of a nerve response.....mine goes away after a day or two. The pain caused by eating too fast goes away in an hour or so....good reminder for me to slow down!
  6. I'm going to an outdoor concert/party/gathering with my best girlfriend on Saturday.....need to pack a picnic lunch for us.....since my usual picnic fare would have been either KFC or hoagies.....not gonna work.... Help me think of something that would be band friendly and good for my normo girlfriend, too! ..........and I'm stoked about the day, just because it's going to be quality girlfriend time......
  7. Going to an outdoor concert on Saturday and need to pack a picnic lunch for my friend and I......need some ideas for band/diet friendly picnic fare! Normally, it would be hoagies and chips.......so help me out!
  8. Actually, the only reason I said that was because I was getting ready to eat Breakfast and it was a yoplait!! I wasn't really celebrating! I haven't figured out a 'real' reward.....it was said more sarcastically than anything!
  9. I MADE IT, I MADE IT, I MADE IT!! First time in probably 10 years that I've been under 200 pounds! 198 this morning.......YEAH.....doing a happy dance here! Who knew that it would be possible to be so happy about going from extremely obese to merely "obese"......oh ya, YOU GUYS! It's a good day!
  10. BIG DAY....HUGE, JUST HUGE....and I'm home alone with no one to Celebrate with me...... I'M IN ONDERLAND.......for the first time in about ten years, I'm under 200 pounds!! 198 this morning!!! Sigh, it sure feels good! Think I'll celebrate with a yoplait!
  11. I think perky boobs are something just about everyone can appreciate!
  12. My doctor required attendance at a seminar....it took a little over an hour. Really, no big deal. The just give and gather basic information to get a starting point. I certainly wouldn't PAY for one.....all of the ones I've seen are free.
  13. I'm at 2cc in a 10cc band......I don't think I have full restriction, but so far things seem to be working okay. I will probably go in for another adjustment towards the middle of the month.
  14. Love that flat tummy, Kerri!!!!! You look great.....
  15. My incisions were glued......they healed very nicely. It did seem like it took forever for it all to come off.....good thing I didn't have a swimsuit photo shoot scheduled....HAHAHAHAHA!
  16. I hope you are able to get your own business going, Sharon! I think the band is kind of a milestone.....it's the place to make changes and certainly that can carry over in to the rest of our lives! Enjoy your free time.....I didn't go back to work for five months after I retired from the PD....it was nice!
  17. If you upload a picture to photobucket, it's quite easy to post them here....just copy the code that photobucket gives you! .....and thanks for the compliment....my daughter is as beautiful inside as she is outside, too.....just a great kid!
  18. Thanks, Fenton....yes....it is such a good feeling! What was really wonderful is that I spent six hours at the zoo...walking up and down the hills and all over....and felt great doing it! My "baby" is almost 16......but she still loves the zoo!
  19. My daughter and I spent the day at the zoo and took a couple of pictures....sometimes it takes a picture to really see the difference....for good or for bad! The first on is me, last May, with Jake Shimabukuro....one of my favorite musicians..... This one is today, with my daughter.....I'm down a total of 50 pounds since the pic last May!
  20. Christine.....kayaking is on my "someday I will" list, too! We live literally BLOCKS away from a kayak launch on the river. It's been built up with great riff....probably just class 1 rapids, but I'd sure like to try it! We walk down there a lot and watch them play, it looks like fun! We're headed to the ZOO today.....there's a new baby giraffe and some new baby monkeys. I haven't been to the zoo in YEARS, so I'm looking forward to a lovely spring day with my daughter and a bunch of stinky animals!!!!
  21. WOO HOO on the pants! It is such a good feeling not dreading going in to the dressing room.....and being able to find something of the rack in the regular section! I broke down and bought a couple of pairs of cheap jeans....mine were looking pretty crappy....fortunately, we went to the outlet and got two pairs for $30....so not bad, even if they don't last very long!
  22. Pretty happy? You should be slap happy.....fantastic progress and look at the drop in your BMI.....under 200.....FAN-FREAKING-TASTIC!
  23. I had shoulder pain after my last fill.....it lasted about three days....seems fine now. I do feel it when I eat too much or two fast, I figure it's one of those warning things for me.
  24. Something to make you smile today....... [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fhSG_Q8tKYY]YouTube - Mika - Big Girl (You Are Beautiful)[/ame]
