    What would you do different?

Thank you for the advice! I don't know, but didn't the heating pad hurt your incisions? And I just remembered I need to check my ice pack situation! Thanks!

    What would you do different?

Thank you! Love your last sentence. Made me smile, guess I needed to hear that.

    What would you do different?

I've hear of people using the recliner, I have a CPAP machine that I'll need for nights, but I wondered if my recliner wasn't the best place to be during the day. Good to know that sitting up is more comfortable. Thanks for the info!!!

    What would you do different?

How would you use the body pillow? And I'm going to stock up on ice! Hadn't thought about that!! Good for swelling. Thanks!

    What would you do different?

Thanks for the great advice!! I have been worrying because I don't have much to "eat" setup for after. Unflavored protein is about it, so it makes me feel better that this is the way to go! I also like the water idea. Thanks again for the advice! I know that moving will be the best thing for me to do, so having to get out of the house will be a GOOD thing!

    What would you do different?

I had forgotten about that!! Very good point!! Points! The charger is a great one too!
  9. I will be having surgery in 11 days! And I'm wondering what you would have done differently during your recovery period? I live alone and I'm wondering what should be prepped in advanced, near your bed, or what didn't you expect when you got home? I'm know it's not going to be all rosy, but looking back, what would you have done differently to make that recovery time simpler, more relaxing - I don't even know what word I'm looking for - but I want my recovery period to be as stress free as possible. Thanks for any input!
  10. What about unflavored protein in some Gatorade? That may help.

    I have WHAT?

My diagnosis was the best thing that happened to me! I love sleeping now, and I'm adjusting to my body finally getting rest. Unfortunately the health industry says that snoring is one of the symptoms of apnea, and that isn't true for everyone. Another myth is you can't breath with a mask when you have a cold. I have a nasal pillow mask amend can breathe fine. Just find the mask that makes you feel comfortable and can sleep, with it! It took me five weeks before I finally found the mask that worked best for me - a Swift FX. It's made for women and I don't feel it! Just insist you try all kinds of masks, and you'll do great!

I think I am going to steal that quote! Love it!! And we share the same surgery date.

    MARCH SLEEVERS?

    Same day as me!
  14. Hi Ellie, thank you for the kind words. I start pro-op diet next week. I think I'm going to start over the weekend, just in case the first few days are rough. I'd rather be crabby at home in private, than take off a coworkers head over something silly, you know? I will pm later! Thanks!!!
