  1. Hi I didn't speak at Lahey I was at the July meeting and everyone spoke. Today is my one day anniversary. Wow went by fast. Didn't meet my goal but still 80 lbs. is fine for now. Losing about 2 lbs. a month now and eating very healthy. I will call Corrinne about speaking at the September big meeting. take care glad your surgery went well. you will feel better soon. I have been so busy this summer haven't been on the board much.

  2. Hey I am small boned so 130 is even on the high side for me. I weighted 110-120 in most of my youth, gained the weight from overeating of course, thyroid problems, and menopause. Did a tune on my metabolism.

So I am in size 11-14 depends on the style and cut of clothing. My boobs are still a tad large, losing my belly fat finally, legs and arms are getting skinny the fastest and hubby says my ass is almost gone LOL I never had a big one....LOL

I am thinking of a tummy tuck maybe next year it depends on the cost and our finances. Not a priority at this time.

  3. Good the meeting is very informal, We all just sit around and talk. Most are pre-band people and a few of us that are banded for a while. Just give and take and it's on the 6th floor waiting room at 6:00 PM to about 7:30 or 8:00

I'll see you there I may wear my purple skinny jeans LOL Got into them today for the first time. I can even sit in them LOL

  4. Hey I was banded last August at Lahey. So far doing great. Love their program and support. I hope to be at the meeting on Tues. the 30th of June. Missed the past few due to a few other things.

    Good luck and take care.

  5. I am mot speaking at that meeting that is the support group everyone talks and asks questions. I was asked to speak at the monthly larger meeting for prospective patients for both lap band and bypass surgery. It's the first seminar they want you to go to. I will most probably wait till I lose a few more pounds, and closer to my year anniversary to do the "big talk" have to prepare what I will say and have a few photos on hand before and after ones. Good luck and I look forward to meeting you next week. I can wear my size 12 jeans or capri's LOL

  6. Hi, I am going to go to the lapband support meeting on May 26th Hope you can attend. it's in the lobby of the 6th floor between 5:30 and 7:30 pm. Call for details. Not too sure on the time.

I also had my 6th fill and am down to 159. My nurse/practitioner has asked me to speak to one of the monthly big lap band meetings. I am thrilled and scared, have to write something inspiring and also truthful about my experience, which has been 95% good. I can do without the PB's occasionally LOL. I also have documented with before and after photos. Have to take another one this week. Good luck the program is wonderful.

  7. Thanks it's been both good and bad, mostly good. I still have a problem sometimes with getting things stuck in the band and I have been on a plateau lately, but hey I am still losing a lb a week or so. Most of the weight is now off. Just the last 30 lbs. are the hardest I think.

Just take it one day at a time. And it will happen. But remember you have to really follow all the advise of your team. Good luck

  8. Lahey Clinic is the best, I would recommend them to anyone. Great program and the people are wonderful. They are so helpful and nice and not judgmental at all. Very straightforward with all the information you want.

  9. Hey most of it is after surgery, I regained the 12 lbs I had lost right after surgery. I have to keep being vigilant my appetite is back with a vengeance. Not a lot of restriction from my first fill but I am slowly losing which is a good thing. About 2 lbs. a week.

  10. Wow your doing great Moe ( better than the Sox, don't get me started on them now...LOL) I get my first fill today, not looking forward to the needle and no numbing stuff on it. I still feel a little pulling in the port area, but all in all feel terrific. Hey just got a new Dell computer this week and a new rug for the living room.

  11. Hi thanks for the invite. Feeling really good today, I am at just about 195 which is so good for me. Getting out of the 200's is amazing. Did it 2 years ago and gained it all back. Now I know I won't do that for sure.

  12. Hey Liz finally found ya.......have a nice vacation
