Hi, i was just wondering if anyone has had problems with the doctor not being able to find the port?, i went today to get my first fill at ten weeks, having lost 9kilos without a fill a knew that i cannot do this on my own,the lump that i have below my boobys was what i and the doctor thought was my port, after several attempts and i mean 7 tries he realised that he could not find it, after sticking the needle in then prodding around with the needle i was then whimmpering in pain like and idiot he decided to get another doctor, luckly the doctor that came actually assisted the doctor who did my op, he said that he remembered me, he had a prod with his fingers not the needle and said that i had scar tissue below my boobys and that my port was actually a few inches down, so his did the fill and it was over in a second,he said that sometimes not very often that things move around a bit and that happened with me, i am feeling a bit sore now where the first doctor pocked about but it should be easier next time, thanks for listening, Jacqueline,xxxxxxxxxx

Hi, Jacqueline from Oz here, i am 10 weeks banded now,have just had my first fill yesterday, i managed to lose 9 kilos without a fill, but i had to work hard, what i do is i make my meals to fit into a dessert bowl and try not to eat more that that, then i drink loads of water to fill me up,if i get the munchies i will have 1-2 weet-a-bix in a cup of hilo milk,and try to drink my tea black with lemon, no sugar, good luck, Jacqueline from Oz, xxxxxxxxxx

Hi all,i have just had a 4.5ml fill but have not tried salads yet, but before i finely shred the lettuce and chop the cucumber and tomatoes chop into small pieces and grate cheese carrots etc all in a bowl before i put it on my plate then i dont have to waste time or forget to eat smaller pieces as it is already done, Jacqueline from oz, xxxxxxxxxxx

Hi, i am new here,this site is fantastic, i love learning from all you wonderful people,you are all there together to share each others ups and downs and to encourage each other when things get tough to wipe away the tears and to keep going it is great. I am from Perth Australia, i am on the public waiting list here it is called medicare, it will not cost me anything, my surgery has been prosponed three times but i will not complain, all good comes to those who wait, i hope to be banded on the 16th of Dec, it will be tough over the silly season but it will be worth it, it would be good to be banded this side of the holidays then i can start the new year a fresh start, a new begining, will keep in touch, thanks, Jacqueline,xxxxxxx
