Good to know. Last night my arms started to break out in itchy hives. I wanted to take some Benydryl. I just dissolved some in flavored water and took it that way

LSF got a reaction from HR Pro in What are your differences between Year 1, Year 2, and Year 3?
As I'm approaching my revision surgery, I found this page fascinating to read because these are my fears - the future years with the sleeve since I failed with the band. I do have a question though - what is the 5:2 that you all keep talking about? Your stories have been inspiring and I hope I can be as successful as you. Lori

Had the surgery yesterday. Still in the hospital. My surgeon said I had minimal scar tissue. Didn't take any pain meds and the pain is bearable. They still have me on ice chips, just waiting to switch to Water

I was banded in 2008. For the revision was in the hospital for 2 nites. I had no issues. I'm a pain weenie but this was no problem.
I have also been nervous that I will fail on this because I had such limited success with the band. But I am older and hopefully a little wiser now and I prepared for this one differently. I was too cavalier before. Now I'm much better prepared and committed to the changes required for success.

My surgery was at 7am. So the rest of the day pretty tired and sore but I made sure I kept up on my pain meds whenever it felt sore. I walked around some cuz they told me I had to. The next day I felt good. I was up walking around a lot. Pain wasn't too bad. Just kept my meds coming pretty regular. Then I went home the next day. I think the revision recovery was easier than when I first had the lap band.

I'm hoping by day 5 I'll be ok enough to take care of the dog. Shes puppy pad trained so it's not a huge deal if I cant walk her

That's what I'm worried about. How much time did you take off from work. My Dr. said to plan on 2 weeks so I have plenty of vacation time saved - my 90 days is complete!! Just waiting now for them to submit to the insurance - after the new year.
