  1. Hi onewish! Yes, this place does have a lot of people that are very supportive. I'm sorry to hear you had a complication... how are things going now? It was just the port that was removed?? Interesting. I know when I was first banded I was addicted to this site! :)

  2. I tend to stick to things high in protein... like tuna and chicken. I drink protein shakes in the morning and when I'm thirsty throughout the day I have water, or crystal light. When I don't stick to that, I will drink too many calories and have too many sugar filled drinks and then my weight loss will stop.

  3. Wow, 30 pounds, that's amazing! Great job! I think everyone on the site would have tips and tricks they've learned... and you'll learn what's best for you too. I find it helps to stick to schedule and not let myself get too hungry. That way I don't grab the first thing (likely unhealthy) in sight! Good luck!

  4. I don't think that's sad at all! You're doing terrific! I lost a lot of weight at the beginning and it's starting to slow down. One thing I noticed helps is to track my calories. Before I wasn't really aware of what I ate or how many calories it had in it. I use myfitnesspal.com. The other thing that helps me is sticking to a schedule. I also realized that I had a lot of emotions that I needed to work out. Feel free to message me anytime! I can always use a band buddy. :)

  5. I was banded by Dr Ferrera in Ft Worth. I was banded 2/11. When are you planning on getting surgery?

  6. Your welcome! Some days are hard, some days aren't. :) But I finally have felt... I guess the best word for it is HOPE! Good luck and let me know how things are going.

  7. Saw you were banded 4/28! How does it feel? :) You're lost 23 pounds! CONGRATS! I'm sure getting to the 200's will be a JOY! I know I CANNOT wait until I see 299 on my scale! :)

  8. When you add the ticker to your signature, it is automatically included in your profile. To add it to your signature, go to User CP and then the edit signature. From there, copy and paste the code of your ticker (which you can make on myfitnesspal.com or tickertracker.com or whereever you prefer). Let me know if you need help! :)

  9. Hey, I just saw that you're banded now! Congratulations! Did insurance end up covering it or did you self pay?

  10. Hey Vic! Thanks for your message! I like knowing there are other people like me out there who think these things! :) When did you get your band? How are things going so far? The first month to six weeks were so hard for me. I felt like I was NEVER going to adjust. Even now I haven't fully adjusted, but at least I'm to the point where I'm not crying every night!! :) Hey, baby steps, right?

  11. Just stopping by to say hi. I was looking at the Feb. bandsters since I was banded 2/11. Thought your tag line "At my width's end" was real cute. :) Hope today is going well.
