Is it just fitday.com? I'll have to look at it as I have no idea what everyone is talking about, but if it will help me lose weight and stay on track I'm all for it.
  2. The unjury can't be heated over 130 or it changes the texture...The Unjury chocolate didn't taste that bad except my system just can't handle that amount of dairy right now. I do ok with yogurts so I'll mix the unflavored with a bit and try that. I'm doing ok as far as eating, today I've had: 6oz of Protein drink little less than a cup of soup (beef) half an apple pulsed (I'm in need of fiber) two bottles of Dasani I'll probably have another couple bottles of Water and a scrambled egg tonight for dinner and that will be it. Yikes looking at it, looks like a lot!

Penny you and I sound similar! We have always had our favorite places and love going to them, even stuck in this part of the country we would travel to Houston often to Chez Nous or Dallas, Austin for a special meal. Food plays (played) a huge part in our vacations and we enjoy going to upscale places. Wasn't out of the norm for the two of us to have 300-400$ tabs (including wine..a must since the DH is Chilean!). I'll hit L&S but I don't think it will be difficult there...but I better have help when it comes to E on 37th or Olde Pink! Weekends for us have also changed as we use to spend hours on Saturday and Sunday making complex meals or at the very least grilling a Prime cut of meat...I am soooo dying for a nice center cut filet cooked to rare!

lol see I'm looking forward to a bit cooler weather of Savannah. We live on the coast of texas and even in December it's not out of the norm to be in the 80's! What a wonderful idea about just eating off his plate...lol no so sure he'll be thrilled with that but...*G* I can make him order a app, salad and then dinner and have bites of his. I really am keeping my fingers crossed that my first fill is before we go... I'm a history fan, but sad to say I'm not a huge southern history fan as I grew up in the south. We live close enough to New Orleans now that we go several times a year because we both love it.

lol oh it's on the list along with Olde Pink House, Elizabeth on 37, Uncle Bubba's and Alligator Soul. We are staying at the Weston Resort. I've looked at the menu in most places and I'm going to be very very limited in what I can eat. At Lady & sons I've got the choice of the chicken salad or the baked shrimp or scallops and just eat a few. *sigh* While I'm an emotional eater I really do like food...the taste, smell, texture and joy of sitting around with family, friends etc and sharing a great meal...

well it's Friday and I weighed...down a total of 31 lbs from start! I haven't been this weight in two years and I love it! I'm really going to try and kick it up a notch these next few weeks. The DH made reservations for us to spend four days in Savannah Georgia the week of Thanksgiving. I'm a bit torn about the trip as we are serious foodies and I really don't want to do anything that will hurt my progress. I don't want to tell the DH we can't do these trips now, since it's a major source of enjoyment to him, but I really don't think I'll enjoy myself that much. I'll have my first fill a week or so before we go so that will help me tons.
  7. HelloPenny I could not have ever imagined eating this little and not be starving! *LOL* yesterday wasn't typical in that I had a tv dinner. I think my biggest problem now is I'm not eating enough calories. AND I have the devil of a time with protein drinks..just haven't found one that I'm thrilled with so it's a daily chore for me to drink them.

Heating pad helped me tons with that...lol of course the liquid vicodin might have played a small part in that help. Try to sleep elevated a bit and I just hugged the heating pad.

Love do you notice your feet aren't as swollen? I do with mine, not sure if it's because I'm not drinking diet coke or not eating as much salt. LOL I'm a long long way from sexy hip boots but you go girl!

    Introductions.

I'm doing much better, very little pain if any, heartburn is come and go but the nexium and pepcid ac help tons. My problem is I'm getting hungry...is this normal? I'm not OMG starving but I am feeling hunger pains now and again. Also I'm able to eat more, haven't allowed myself more than a cup and I know I'm still getting below 1200 easy but it has me worried since I don't go back for a fill until almost mid Nov.
  17. lol if we are weighing in on football teams then all I gotta say...through thick and thin is War Damn Eagle! We moved here from Auburn, Al about 6 years ago and I still don't think of this as home. Not a huge fan of SE TX I'm a Alamaba girl at heart I guess.

    Any East Texas bandsters here

Sorry you are a bit farther up the state than I am, I live in Orange and used Dr. Hahn who did the surgery in Beaumont.
  19. http://www.lapbandtalk.com/f282/ctober-dyssey-2008-a-73717/ Here is a link to the other October thread. Dragonwillow I was an outpatient, went in at 6:30 in the morning and was home in bed by around 4:30 that afternoon. I felt fine until about 2:00 am when i woke up in a bit of pain (I found I couldn't wait 6 hours between pain liquids) but a bit of sitting up in a chair, pain meds and a heating pad brought the pain back down enough so I could go back to bed.

Went today for my first check up, I'm healing well and felt good to move around (we went grocery shopping after the Dr. visit) but I've lost 8 lbs since the surgery so that's a total of 16 lbs. LOL Oh forgot I can eat mushies! I had a half of a scrambled egg for lunch and it was sooo yummy!

    ?ctober ?dyssey 2008

wish I could meet someone from my area, I know tons of people here are banded so at least a few have to be on this site. I go for my first doctors appointment Thursday afternoon for them to check and see how I'm doing. Still not eating, drinking or getting enough protein in. I'm doing well to get 16oz of liquid and a cup total of food a day. Anyone have any tips for this?

    Surgery Stories

Ok today is the first day I've really felt like doing anything and I have tons of posting to do to catch up. LOL lets not even talk about what my house looks like! First off I had my surgery at Beaumont Surgical Affliates in Beaumont, TX my Surgeon(s) where Dr. Stan Hahn and Dr. Hsu. Friday was the first day Dr. Hahn had done surgeries at BSA but everything still went very well. The staff was great, I arrived at 6:30 and they took blood, pressure, temp etc and changed me into a lovely gown and wrapped my legs and put on the inflation cuffs they use. I was started on IV antibiotics as well as fluids and given a anti-clotting shot in my stomach about 2 hours before surgery. I went into surgery about 9:30-9:45 and I awoke about 1:00 to several of the nurses checking me. I took a bit longer than the norm because they had to work around old scar tissue from a gallbladder surgery years ago. I received a large band (I'm using Lap-Band) and have seven incissions. Two things surprised me when I woke up, one I didn't realize heartburn could be THAT bad (and I've had some killer HB in the past) and two I didn't know I was going to get a cath, that so didn't thrill me. I was given something right away for the hearburn pain and fussed over for another 30 min or so then since I was wide awake and not feeling to bad they asked if I wanted to go to the other room and sit in a big comfy chair. I drank fluids as well as received them IV. After another hour or so Dr. Hahn came in and went over what my at home instructions where and I got up and walked around and changed, removed the cath and came home. I was given three RX's all liquid, I haven't needed the regulan yet as my stomach has been fine.
