    Dr. Zoe Deol

Has anyone tried to contact Dr. Deol at Loyola?

    Dr. Zoe Deol

I recently heard that Dr. Deol is still working hard to get the new practice/clinic open in Chicago. The whole process has been very slow. No word on when she will start practicing again. I will be one of the first ones in line to see her when she opens up. In the meantime, I sure hope nothing goes wrong with my band between now and when she starts practicing again.

I have had some contact w/Dr. Deol. The last I heard from her things were moving slow in Chicago and she really had no idea how long it would be before the new clinic was open. She said she was going to try to keep us posted on the progress through her old website. The address is Michigan Bariatrics Surgery Center of Excellence P.C Lap-Band I can't wait until she opens up. Not real comfortable w/the doc I have now.

    Dr. Deol's Dear John Letter

From what I was told if you are going to try and get in to see Dr. Krause you really do need to ask for Bree. Asking for her will make the move to Dr. Krause MUCH easier. Bree just gets you in w/o all the other BS. If you don't ask for her you have to go through the typical new patient BS. However, I also understand that she does not work every day. Does anyone who has already seen Dr. Krause know what days Bree works? I was told by Dr. Deol what days she worked. but I was so upset I don't think it really registered w/me.
  9. Sorry I haven't been around in awhile. I hope everyone is okay and meeting goals as they had hoped to. Been away for awhile for so many reasons. Between a band slip that required surgery/new band to fix, and a knee replacement I have ALL kinds of stories. When I have some time I will sit down and give you all more details. Right now I have to get ready to go to a little gathering of old friends. I just wanted to post to those of you who know me that I am still aroud, alive, well, and still kicking. Well, the kicking is a little weak yet because of the knee replacement:D, but that gets better everyday. Will post more later. You all take care.

    Hello Hello

Just wondering if anyone from Michigan still visits the site? If you are here post and say hi.

Where are all the Michigan people at??

I have not heard anything on Dr. Bhesiana. I swear I saw a few postings on LBT by some of his patients, but I can't find them now :scared: . I decided I was going to pursue the LapBand WLS option on Oct. 10, 2005. Attended Dr. Pleatman's seminar on Oct. 11 and made my final decison that I was going to have the surgery. Made an appointments w/Pleatman and Deol. Dr. Pleatman is a wonderful surgeon and his staff is great, but I just connected w/Dr. Deol and Rebecca much better. Going from Pleatman to Deol added a couple of weeks to my whole process. I really didn't start the whole process until I went in to see Dr. Deol Nov 15th. I was banded on Jan 23, 2006. So from initial visit w/my surgeon to my banding it was 9 - 10 weeks. Good luck :clap2:

Wendy here, I am patient of Dr. Deol's and I could not be happier. Dr. Deol, and Rebecca just rock. Simple, fun, very caring, and skilled. Rebecca can be a bulldog for ya when it comes to your insurance. They have a simple form letter w/four statements your PCP has to check off on then you should be all set to go w/BCBS. I have BCBS and it was a breeze w/the letter.
  13. I am sure quite a few on LBT unsuccessfully tried a weight loss program prior to making their decision to get banded. Keeping in mind that the band is just a tool to help assist with weight loss, I was wondering if anyone has tried joining Weight Watchers or another type of weight loss program after they were banded to help w/their weight battle? I know after surgery many of us have a year or more of dietician, psychologist, and group support through our band docs. However, reading through the threads I noticed there are quite a few of us who still struggle with losing the weight and we often turn to other LBT members for suggestions and support. One would think that between the band, a structured weight loss program, the support from the weight loss meetings, and the continued support and advice from LBT members, you would be pounding at weight with constant one-two punches.:boxing::boxing: Any opinions on this out there?
  14. Seems to me that almost every doc has a different program. I have read where some are on Clear liquids for one week while some are on them for four weeks. Some are on stage two for one week others for three. WOW how can this all be so different? How long were you in stage one (liquids)? How long were you in stage two (mushes)?

How long do you think one should wait after getting banded to have a glass of wine?
