  1. Well, missed my fluid/protein goals yesterday. Hit a point where I just didn't want to drink anymore. I'm definitely running a fluid deficit and need to re-commit today to get my upper goal in. Am swallowing almost normal now, so there's really no excuse. And I'm SUPER glad I decided to work from home this first week post-op. I'd have had to call in sick today if I'd had to face getting into business dress and doing my hair/makeup. LOL.

You will totally get the hang of it in a weeks or three. I drank a lot of 50/50 water Gatorade (not G2! blech!!). I couldn't drink plain water at all. I also poured my protein drinks over 20oz of crushed ice. It made them MUCH more palatable and I got in an extra 20oz of water.

Yeah, I mixed it up today because I feel like I'm coming down with a cold... drank some chicken bouillon and that really did the trick... sucked down 8oz of that in about 30 min, and then turned around and sucked down another 8 oz of water in the next 30 min. Guess I either needed something hot, needed the salt, or needed something different. :) So I'll hit my goal today for fluid, no problem. I was starting to get mildly dehydrated, so it's good timing. :D

I totally get the needing to change things up with warm and cold, sweet and savory. For me it is the only way to get it all in.

Glad you are doing so well. Congratulations!
