oh and also wanted to mention that I think it's wonderful you posted people need to see the GOOD and the UGLY about LAPBAND... I personally stopped going to the support group because so many people were trying and having horrible results with it.

WOW is all I have to say! I'm so glad the nightmare is over for you and you can find something that will suite you better then the band. It sucks that no one is truly guaranteed success with such an awesome tool as some put it! I still love my band 3.5 years later but I've had my issues with it to and I have made drastic adjustments to my life to accommodate this moody band.

Keep us posted on if you do a revision to another WLS.

I think it is great you share your story. If anyone is considering Lapband they need to hear it all. I was just banded and have not had any issues but I applaude you for standing up and being on to tell it all! I wish you the best of luck and a fast recovery!!

My advice would be to do as much research on the positive and Negatives as possible-especially the statistics for 3,5 and 10 years out-the band can be great but it's not for everyone and sometimes the people that are singing it's praises at one year are dealing with a totally different sitaution at 2 or three years.
I think its fantastic that your looking into ways to make yourself healthier(and thinner)just remember that lapband is not the be all and end all and as for it being the "least invasive" it also has the highest revision/repair surgeries.
Good luck with whichever way you choose to go i wish you lots of health and happiness :-)
