Hello all, Just let everyone know I recieved my band on the 26th!! I arrived at the hospital at 8am and went in to the OR at 10:15am and was in recovery at 11:30am. I am doing fine I think alot of the reason is my doctor gives anti nausea meds and antibiotics routinely. I stayed overnite .This is the doctor's policy. I really haven't had much pain except while in the recovery room. I'm taking 2 doses of med per day.I'm really not that sore except for the port site, I have no appetite.Is this normal? I am supposed to have 2oz of liquid per hour. I'm finding it very difficult to do that. God has been good to me!! Thank all of you for your support. jaunderwood:lol:

Hello all, My doctor's office told me to try to lose as much weight as possible this week but really gave me no guidelines.I have to be on clear liquids tommorrow and nothing after midnight. I'm getting my surgery done in Elizabethtown Kentucky by Dr. Kasa, I'm so excited!! Keep in touch. Jaunderwood Joyce:lol:

Hello Ms Bee, I'm getting banded on the 26th also!! I'm so excited and anxious at the same time!!!! I go for my pre op at the hospital on Friday .I've already had my final appt with my surgeon this past Wed. I'm ready to go!! jaunderwood

Hello all, I think at 63 soon to be 64 I'm probably one of the oldest bandster and one of the most excited. I've been obese all of my life!! I currently weigh 247 and am 5' 3'' tall. I am a retired public health nurse. I am really busy in retirement with my 3 grandchildren and my church activities. I'm also a crafter. My surgery date is February 26th!! Jaunderwood

Hello Happy Mama, I am Joyce from Kentucky. I too have type 2 diabetes. I hopethe lap band helps control my blood sugar. I truly believe it will be an important tool to help me stop my medication!! Hello Jigboy, I too have Humana isurance. I had to have the 6mo. of supervised diets. The time will pass ,but I know it seems such a slow process. I started this journey last January with a few twists and turns I'm finally scheduled for surgery on Feb.26th!! Hooray!! Hang in there. It will be worth it in the end. jaunderwood from Ky.

Hello all!! I too am from Kentucky.I'm from Hodgenville which about 60 miles south of Louisville and about30 miles from Leitchfield. I got approval for surgery last Friday !! My surgery date is Feb. 26th!! I'm getting mine done by Dr Kasa in Elizabethtown. Good to hear from folks in Kentucky!! jaunderwood

Hello all.:frown: I still haven't heard anything from my surgeon's office. I talked to my nurse care manager from Humana. She said she would be waiting for my paperwork!! This waiting is awful!!
