I am getting banded on the 27th, is that close enough? I think it is great to have people who are close to the same day to be friends with. I met someone on the board, in the geographical section, who is having surgery right before me. Any and all support is greatly appreciated.

Hi NYNM,

Yay! I'm so glad to meet someone at the same stage as me! Are you on any type of pre-op diet? My doc just has me on low carb, but didn't give me any real instruction as to what exactly "low carb" meant. Just told to eat low carb diet 2 weeks prior to surgery. How are you doing otherwise?

Ms. Bee, if it helps to give you a guideline to go by, my doctor had me on no more than 30 gms of carbs a day excluding green leafy vegetables (yes there are carbs in veggies but I didn't have to count those).

Hope that helps!

Hi all!

I'm getting banded on the 21st, I hope that's close enough to be friends too! :) Then again, I feel a special bond with all the Victorious Valentines here!

Good luck everyone with your surgeries, may they be smooth and uneventful!

Let's all keep in touch :wink2:
