Excess Skin has me unmotivated
Focus on health and how certain things are easier once you weigh less. It's the best you can do for now. It would be shame if the fear of loose skin would hold you back.

Bitchy grammar rant
Ach, die ganzen Nicht-Muttersprachler sind für diese kleine Erinnerung sicherlich dankbar.

My man said I cheated
No problem. I felt the fluffy rainbow unicorns from the world of FluffyChix needed a little reality check. And yes, we can agree to disagree.

My man said I cheated
Hot bod? What hod bod exactly? Unless a guy is accidentally into loose skin there won't be any hot bod before plastic surgery and even then we're not going to look like people with intact skin.

My man said I cheated
This site can be a little melodramatic at times, depending on the subject.

My man said I cheated
Why do you even defend yourself instead of just rising an eyebrow? How can one "cheat weight loss"? That's a quite ridiculous thought in itself. If I respond verbally at all I usually say people are cheating at washing clothes because they use a washing machine instead of going down to the river and slapping their panties on a stone to clean them. A raised eyebrow combined with a "So?" is also usually enough to shut people up.

Question on Vsg to bypass revision and GERD
Unless they also had sleeves it's like comparing apples to pears. Gastric sleeve is infamous for causing severe reflux. Won't hurt trying a diet change though.

Question on Vsg to bypass revision and GERD
I still have to take PPI. However, the volume reflux is gone since revision (band to MGB) and I have to take a much lower dose of PPI.

I hate eating out now!
When it comes to buffets, yes. I simply don't like the hassle of going out to eat. The drive, looking for parking space... -over expensive beverages, the taste of the food all too often not worth the money. I prefer either eating at home or when it comes to meeting friends meeting at a bar or with some little snacks at home. Eating out (or delivery services) has become quite expensive during the last years. Me neither.

Struggling and Don't Want to Slip back into old Habits
If I had the answer to this question I would make millions selling books and online classes. What you describe sounds exactly what dieters say after their honeymoon phase is over and they have to start depriving themselves just to maintain a still undesirable weight and that is when "the old habits" start creeping in. The payoff gets smaller and the urge to eat grows. Sorry, no real help here. My advice would be not to engage in dieting behavior anymore.

Help.... gaining weight!!!! What should I do?

LOL. One can't believe that she is actually getting paid for giving you that kind of "advice".- Emotional eating and food addiction
This. Black and white thinking is supposed to be quite typical for dysregulated eaters ("I will never again...", "I will only eat...", "I will always..."). It's a good idea to let go of this mindset. Quite liberating in fact.- Emotional eating and food addiction
That is emotional eating.- RN twelve hour shifts
Yes, indeed. Who am I telling people not to create problems where there are non? You're free to make your own life as complicated as you want to of course. So I apologize. No idea how healthcare providers eat and drink while on 12 h or 24 h shift after they have decided to make things as complicated as possible but when on 24 h shift I eat and drink (and sleep) when I have the chance to do so and that worked quite fine from the beginning on: while doing computer work, between two interventions, while waiting for a patient to arrive...- November sleevers here
This.- RN twelve hour shifts
Things are not as complicated as people seem to make them sometimes. How do nurses, physicians etc. on 12 or 24 h shifts find time to eat and drink after WLS? In the same way they did before WLS. Don't create a problem where there is non.- Scared that I am not going to be able to stop eating comfort foods.
These surgeries are for sure altering the guts and preferences of people - sometimes more, sometimes less as it seems. However, surgery date about 3 months ago? Lets wait a little while longer before jumping to definite conclusions because a lot of people seem to have felt this way before reality hit them hard over the head. Sorry to be the party pooper, but 3 months out is just that: 3 months out.- Scared that I am not going to be able to stop eating comfort foods.
Yep, not eating delivery service food or restaurant food (or at least eating it less frequently) saves a lot of money. Quite a few of my colleagues (the bachelors ) eat out almost every night and have breakfast and lunch at the cafeteria at work. They're not fat but they spend quite a bit of money on it.- Scared that I am not going to be able to stop eating comfort foods.
You won't stop eating foods for comfort in the long run. This "food is just for fuel"-schlock is a completely unrealistic perspective some people seem to have when it comes to surgery. Food and eating is supposed to bring us pleasure - we are hardwired to it. Even the so-called normal eaters who're thin eat for comfort and pleasure. It's just a matter of how often and how much (and with how often and how much you can get away with this behavior without facing the consequences). As for taste preferences: they might change or they might not change. Mine didn't change. I wouldn't place a bet on it. Learn to ride that emotional eating dragon because you won't be able to kill it.- Where are these trolls coming from?
Haven't noticed any trolls. Maybe I'm reading the wrong threads.- Snacking
I'm actually having a really hard time wrapping my brain around the fact that people actually suggest changing jobs because someone is eating out of ... what reason? Boredom maybe? As if running away from the problem would eliminate the problem. Ok, maybe some users have a weird sense of humor and they weren't serious.- Am so tired of people who ask every ten minutes why they're not losing weight
And that goes for everyone. So if people don't like a rant and want to fight, b***h and moan about a rant - they're free to do so and that is what's happening here and what happened in hundreds of rant threads before. Because it's raves and rant. Expecting to post a rant without having someone disagreeing and challenging the OP is just unrealistic. It's also beyond me why someone posting a rant is offended because there are not only positive reactions to the rant. It's to be expected. So if you can't take the heat you want to dish out: don't start a thread in Rants & Raves.- Am so tired of people who ask every ten minutes why they're not losing weight
I believe you. Why shouldn't I? Doesn't change my opinion on this kind of posts though.- Do you miss being overweight?
The body? Nope. Never. Good Lord! Certain behaviors that led to that body? Hell, yes! - Pre-op diet—not impressed with nutritionist!
