"Bariatric" Vitamins
If you know you're low in iron you should of course take a supplement for it.

"Bariatric" Vitamins
I wouldn't supplement iron regularly without knowing if it's really necessary. Many patients go for iron free multi and add iron if necessary or switch temporarily.

Peanut Butter almost 2weeks Post OP
It tastes kind of peanutty of course but more like adding peanut flour IMO than actual peanut butter. I use the myprotein powdered one in protein mug cakes sometimes.

Seems to be dependent on the team. Small amounts of natural nut butters or avocado (i. e. health fats) are even recommended now during the first four weeks by the nutritionists in my team. However, they also have no problems with people having full fat cheese or milk. This seems to be way different from the approach that's most touted on here.- Vegetarian vs. Atkins diet
Cronometer really is the best out there when it comes to tracking both macros and micros. The free version already offers plenty and the subscriber version is a one time payment only.- Food Before and After Photos
Meh, I hope I can eat salads again soon. This thread is like food porn atm.- Suggestions for "must have items" in my hospital bag?
Don't know what it's like in the hospital you're going to at but here all patients are advised not to take anything valuable with them to the hospital if it's possible because auf stealing. I only brought phone, tablet and charger and a little money without all the cards etc. - on the day of surgery the nurses stash away the valuable stuff at a secure place.- Food Before and After Photos
This European had to google "colby cheese".- Suggestions for "must have items" in my hospital bag?
For one night I wouldn't bother with anything more. Is it like really only an overnight stay?? I had to stay for five nights (planned discharge is on the 5th post-op day here) and brought a whole bag of things. - favorite pillow - pyjama and shirts for several nights - comfy clothes and underwear for several days - phone, tablet and charger - books if you don't read on your tablet - the bag I store stuff like toothbrush, deodorant etc. in- Food Before and After Photos
What kind of cheese is that?- February 26th will be the date...
Pip & Nut is some kind of special devil. All nutty goodness, lol.- February 26th will be the date...
I admit to having a dark chocolate almond butter cup today that got to liquid in my mouth.- February 26th will be the date...
Meh, unfortunately inner upper thighs are stubborn as hell. How long were you on liquids/soup after your revision? I find it way harder to recover this time. Ok ok, I'm almost 4 years older now but anyway. I also have to battle way more cravings.- February 26th will be the date...
There was a little bit of pain when these little suckers were removed but nothing serious. Wounds looked good all the time. On a side note, at least the weather is good for a nice protein hot cocoa. ☕- February 26th will be the date...
I have the usual 5 incisions across the upper abdomen. Nothing big and scary. I eat soup and thin pudding and yoghurt and the like. Luckily only 3 weeks of liquids this time instead of 4 weeks.- February 26th will be the date...
Today the staples were removed from the incisions. Wounds are looking fine. About 3 kg less now on the scales now than the day before surgery, btw. Dammit, I want to eat roasted red beets now. Even these awful McD burgers looked fine today, lol.- Meal replacement suggestions for breakfast
I can already handle it. Peanut butter, almond butter, coconut butter. Nuts are one of the fats I can eat that feel just fine. I wonder if there will really be any change in what I can tolerate or not though. Interestingly enough nut butters are recommended now in the liquid phase to add to a protein smoothie now and then as a fat source. Obviously good for digestion. Not heaps of course, but a little bit.- OOTD
Ok, to those who display nice spring and summer clothing - where do you live?! It's 5° C where I live.- Meal replacement suggestions for breakfast
Until next Wednesday. Though an apple and a piece of Pumpernickel with peanut butter is first on my list, ROFL.- Meal replacement suggestions for breakfast
I do this with soy yoghurt and a nougat flavored protein powder. Also some additional cocoa. ? - Peanut Butter almost 2weeks Post OP
