Needed to use up some ingredients, so here's a mix of sweet corn, mixed canned beans, red bell pepper, mock ground meat, , red onion, tomato sauce, red curry powder and coconut milk. I had burger tonight again (also leftovers buns that had to go, freezer is full right now), so this is lunch for tomorrow and most likely dinner as well as I have some mock salami and vegan spread that has to go. One can't really stock up on perishables and not everything freezes well. Awful look, awesome taste:

These gnocchi have found their way into my staples I guess. 100% plant based except the usually warning that it "may contain traces of".

Improvised meal. However, I'm craving a burger and I have some veg burgers that have to go as well so I think I'm preparing this curry for tomorrow. Here are some pictures before the sauce is on and everything is assembled.

Baked apple cinnamon oats. It tasted very good but the additional baking on top for 20 min and another dirty dish makes this a not-so-quick meal. Basically the same ingredients als with the cake, except that I added some soy milk and used less almond butter. Didn't have some raisins though.

Curly kale (made from frozen) with the rest of the green pesto and nooch. Trout sandwich with red onion, vegan herb spread, sandwich spice and batavia salad.

Beginning with raising infection rates. People are hoarding pasta and toilet paper again. I was pleasantly surprised that all frozen vegetables I usually buy were available and fully stocked though.

The sticky rice. It cooks up to a really beautiful color. One wouldn't think that this cooks up to this color.

Tofu, spinach and red onion in a yellow curry sauce (yellow curry paste and coconut milk) over sticky rice. ETA: it never ceases to surprise me how a truckload of spinach seems to cook to almost nothing, even when using frozen spinach.

Made the apple cake again. This time with oat flour, vanilla protein powder, dark almond butter, cinnamon, coffee spice and a bit of water. Put half of the dough on the bottom, filled the glass pan with apple pieces, dusted with cinnamon and topped with the rest of the dough as crumbles. Less fuss and even better than last time.

Will have the leftovers from this evening for lunch. Tomorrow night it's the rest of the sticky rice and a yellow curry with the other half of the tofu package, red onion and spinach. Then I need to use up the rest of the green pesto. I have some green gnocchi at home (new vegan product at the local REWE market) which might be a good match together with spinach. Meh, I hate meal planning. Have to buy this, have to use up that... Hopefully the grocery stores are not sold out again of frozen vegetables, 'cause 'rona panic. I bet I'm going to see empty shelves when it comes to toilet paper, pasta and flour. Luckily I don't need to buy any of these items this week. ?

The fennel didn't really match btw but the bulb had to go.

Which would mean you've been eating at least 1000 kcal over your TDEE every day for a whole week. Which would mean you've created a deficit of at least 3500 kcal a day for these two days. I have a few thoughts on what's irresponsible or not myself. However, in the end opinions are just that: opinions. Approaches vary. Maybe they have made good experiences with their approach. Otherwise they would've already abandoned it. Treatment teams provide guidelines. If the patients wants to follow them, is up to the patient. In any way no treatment team seems to have found the holy grail that guides 100% of the patients to a normal BMI for life so far. Ultimately the patient has to find out what's working or not anyway. That involves trial and error and the old-timers usually all have paid dearly in one or the other way after being in the game long enough.

That's weird that your drinking behavior changed all of a sudden and I can see why you didn't expect it. I wouldn't have expected it after a revision neither. You're definitely right. Get a grip on it as soon as possible.

Does alcohol give you a different feeling now than it did before? What is a typical situation in which you'd consume a drink?

Ok, never saw baking powder used in crumbles because one doesn't want the crumbles to... rise?

Melted coconut oil. The recipe I used called for a protein powder, a sweetener (I used vanilla protein powder so I didn't need additional sweetener) coconut oil, oat flour, cinnamon and interestingly enough baking powder but I guess this can be omitted. Never saw "Streusel" made with baking powder and was surprised that there are recipes for "Streusel" that call for more than just flour, butter, sugar and maybe cinnamon. The taste was good but I guess it needs a bit more coconut oil. The recipe said to use a bit of water if it's too dry and I did use a bit of water but that didn't cut it. Maybe it depends on the type of powder one is using. The original recipe was an "apple crumble" so I googled for a quick bottom that also uses oat flour. I ended up with a protein powder, dark almond butter and oat flour. This was quite good. The dark almond butter matched the cinnamon spiced apples just fine. I think cashew butter would be a good match as well. Next time it will be a bit more coconut oil and more apple.
