    Body contouring recovery time

IMO they are. However, everyone's different. I had lower bodylift and was in no way "recovered" after 4 weeks. I went back to work, yes, but I wouldn't have called that "recovered". Should have stayed home for another week.
  2. Of course people don't want to hear some stories about "lifestyle changes" that are missing the most important information. Why would they? That said I wonder how many people actually believe these fairy tales about "lifestyle changes".
  3. What gives me more and more "icks" about that whole bari/WLS thing is that there are way too often too many almost cultish vibes around.
  4. Gastric sleeve. RNY. MGB. DS. Whatever one had for surgery. Why call it "a tool" or whatever (for me that tool-thing belongs to the cringy stuff as well)? How would someone call an appendectomy? Herbert?

It's called "Mühlenmett". It's a vegan version of what Germans call "Gehacktes" or "Mett", depending on the region you're living in. Some people call it what would maybe be best translated as "construction worker's jam" if they want to joke about it, lol. The stuff's mostly eaten on white rolls. Not the sweet kind. I think you might be calling them "hard rolls".

This is what it looks like when you're using food as a coping mechanism for stress and anxiety and don't give a damn: After the shot I noticed that the amount of jalapeños wouldn't do it and added some more. ETA: vegan for hEaLtH. Not.

  11. Not really. The only thing that's sometimes difficult to manage now and then are the "I'm feeling fat" days. However, I don't believe in an "old me" and "new me". Of course we all change and evolve as time goes by (or hopefully we do) but the distinction between an "old me" (usually the fat one with all the undesirable and bad attributes) and the "new me" (usually the now thin, "good" one) can IMO be problematic if not to say quite toxic. I'm not sure what you mean when you say "transition" so I can't say anything in regards to this. Regarding the focus and motivation: why would you need that? After reaching a normal BMI you most likely have already settled into a lifestyle that enables you to maintain your weight (and hopefully health) and there should be no need to have to keep any special focus or motivation. That's something you need when you're white-knuckling something. The slight vigilance you might most likely need to maintain your weight (and I personally know practically no one who doesn't need that past a certain age so I don't consider it something "WLS-specific", mind you) should not be something that drains your energy significantly. If it does, maybe have an honest talk with yourself why that is. The feeling of "being thin" though has in fact the potential to vanish into thin air. That's when the "I'm having a fat day" can settle in. As I said that's something I tend to struggle with.

    Food Before and After Photos

Burgers again. Used different buns this time and they're a better match. Made one with Gouda's Glorie cheddar style sauce and jalapeños and one with a spicy ketchup like sauce and a Bedda melt slice. I want to try some vegan bacon next time on the cheese burger. This one went straight to the fridge for eating later: This time I made them in the oven (the paper "wrapping" worked quite fine, no mess in the microwave/oven, just throw away the messy paper) and they browned nicely. I guess these burgers will be a keeper. I wonder how people manage to take pictures of a burger or sandwich that don't look just plain ugly, btw. 🤔 Anyway, this was today's fast breaker: soup and burger. I wanted something warm and spicy. It's cold again in Germany. The soup was ok. Even for my taste a bit salty. Too expensive, so I might buy again when on sale but it won't be a staple.
  13. Who made the recommendation? Also is it s "recommendation" or a "rule"? Stop the comparing! Comparing is the surefire way to insecurity, worry and anxiety and the death of self-esteem and happiness. Also who defines what a "normal" amount is or not? If you should be concerned or not is something only your treatment team can answer.

Maultaschen (used as ravioli) with zucchini, broccoli and mushrooms in a tomato sauce. The broccoli didn't match but had to go. https://www.buerger.de/produkt/maultaschen-20-300g/

Today's fast breaker. https://www.harry-brot.de/produkte/detail/show/vegane-pancakes-kakao There is a vanilla version as well. Both taste ok but I'm not sure yet if they will be a staple. Some leftovers:

Brunch So many people despise vegan substitutes. I personally think it makes it way easier to follow a vegan diet. The cashew or cauliflower based cheeses by Happy Cashew or Jay & Joy are bomb. Mühlenmett is a game changer for Mettbrötchen-Lovers.

I guess most of what other countries label as "Bavarian" or "German" is as Bavarian or German as the foods we label "American", lol.

    Noom Weight loss Program

I recommend reading some reviews in the web. Then there's a free trial (I suppose). If you're still convinced after the trial period - that's when you want to give them your money.

First thought: "Why do I have to thaw them in the fridge first?" Second thought: "These look like they will stick to the pan and make a mess in there." Third thought: "I knew they would stick so luckily I was careful flipping them. And yes, a mess in the pan." They taste good but they're not "meatier" than several other patties. The price is ok when they're on sale, they come frozen so they're good when it comes to storing. I'm going to buy them again. However, I don't get the super-hype around them like it's some kind of vegan burger revolution going on, lol.
