No acid reflux. I stayed 2 nights in the hospital but had absolutely no complications. I've lost 70 lbs in 6 months and have 30 more to go. It's the best thing I have ever done for myself.

I had mine done at the same time.

Check out The Davis Clinic on Facebook. They are all vegetarians, and Dr. Garth Davis has written a book on the benefits of a vegetarian diet. I'm just not ready to give up fish. Lol.

Actually there's been studies done that show a little extra weight is more beneficial as people age.

It's the scope on your stomach. I had to do that and blood work which is what Primomo required. Aetna also required a psychological and 3 month supervised diet in which I couldn't gain any weight at all.

I had revision surgery on Wednesday and cooked for my family on Sunday. I didn't need any help at all. Actually would have preferred to be alone. Lol

There is no comparison. I was banded in 1996 and struggled every day for 20 years. I threw up daily and struggled mostly with healthy foods like fruit, veggies, and meat. I had RNY on 4/6/16. The doctor found that the band had eroded my stomach and adhered to my spleen and liver. 3 months later, I am eating veggies, fish, and fruit. No throwing up and no pain. I've lost over 40 lbs and have 60 more to go.
I weigh all of my food but I can tell I'm full because it feels the same way as when you eat a huge plate. So...stuffed.
If I'm eating in a restaurant, I don't weigh my food but I know what 4 Oz looks like and I know when I've had enough. I only eat at places I know I can order something that works for me. I suffered for 20 years and I regret every day of that band. The past 3 months have been awesome.

Glad you mentioned that. I've had people flip out when I say I'm only requires 40 grams of Protein per day. They promote veggies first and then fish.

I could have stayed the same but could not show a gain. It was stressful.

I'm in the Houston area. I had surgery with Dr. Primomo from The Davis Clinic in April. Best thing I ever did.

I got my band in 1996 and struggled all these years. I was revised ok April 2016. It's been the best thing I've ever done. I'm about 10 lbs away from my goal. I've had.no issues at all.
