  1. I'm 12 days post op, and used Miralax. I was desperate for relief
  2. What does everyone use, if anything, to help lighten stretch marks? I have a lot and they travel all the way to my bra line... 4 pregnancies and eating cupcakes really took a toll on my body. [emoji856]
  3. One question.. Did you purée the tuna, or did you leave as is?
  4. I used to think I was 5'6", but turns out I'm 1/4 inch shy... Not the same, I guess.. But I was so mad when I found out lol
  5. Same here! I'm 10 days post op, and I slipped on something in my kitchen yesterday, and now I have this seriously painful stabbing very close to my incision on my right side. Like if I go to stand up from a seated position! Sorry, I'm not sure what it is though. I'm hoping it goes away. I used a hot pack and it didn't help. ☹️
  6. I have great fat clothes too! Idk what I would do with them when I'm finished losing weight.. Idk anyone the same size [emoji18]
  7. All the time! But I have to accept the decision I made.. Just sometimes I forget I had the surgery done, like in the morning, mostly- and I start drinking normally. I get 3 gulps in and have to remind my self to stop. It a work in progress.
  8. I searched the App Store just now and found an app that tells you how obese you are, and tells you "what's normal" for your height. I'm 5'5&3/4" so I put in 5'5".. And got 120-142... My goal weight I had preset was 138.. So I'm right on target!
  9. I did too! Even the tiniest bit just makes a huge difference! I used a pinch of Parmesan
  10. I was soooo addicted to carbs, too! Pasta, potatoes, pasta&potatoes! Everything. I never ate red meat or pasta until 2012, but when I was pregnant, I was always overeating on it all. My weight gain was from pregnancy & post-pregnancy cravings
  11. Does anyone know when it's acceptable to eat cheese, if at all? I'm 10 days post op.. Just curious, because I'm making stuffed chicken for my family for dinner tonight, and I'm on puréed foods.. & Cheese has protein.. Just rambling lol
  12. I work at a hospital, performing EKGs and transporting cardiac monitored patients, so I was given "FMLA" leave for 4 weeks, so long as I have an easy recovery. I'm 10 days post op.. Not sure I'll need the entire 4 weeks, but I'm not complaining! [emoji4]
  13. I never got to take a real "before" shot.. I have pics, but they're only of my face (hello, social media!) so I guess I won't have a lot of comparison afterward [emoji37]
  14. Can anyone give me some guidance on the puréed food stage? I know I can have a soft scrambled egg, and puréed foods.. But is there a recipe that sticks out to anyone, or where might I find them? TIA
  15. My goal weight is 138, but idk if that's ideal. I'm 5'5&3/4".. It's easy to lose the weight of you stick to the clear diet and walk a lot. Good luck to you on your surgery!!!
  16. I have officially graduated to puréed foods! Idk when I have ever been this excited lol
  17. If you don't mind me asking, how tall are you? We started at almost the same weight.. My goal is 138, since I'm 5'5" & 3/4.. (Yes the 3/4 counts! Lol) and I'd love to be around 150 in 6 months!!! You did awesome!
  18. Congratulations!! Best of luck to you! I've seen a lot of Dr Miami's work, and he is phenomenal! Great choice!!
  19. My recovery has been okay- the first 2 days at home I was in so much pain, but lately I have been doing mild housework, and have been running errands like going to the bank.. And then I lie down because I start to feel pain again. So I try to get some walking in- but I'll tell you, I'm sick of clear fluids now lol
  20. My starting weight was 238, and I'm at 201.5
  21. I started at 238, I'm 8 days post op, and am now 201.5... Everybody is different. I can't wait to break under 200! I haven't weighed less than 200 pounds in 2 years!
  22. I'm down 36.5 pounds!!! Sooo excited!
