  3. @@jenn1 I've been doing mostly cardio. I have stuck with major muscle exercises now, although I just started.. Squats, dead lifts, bench and military presses.. Light work out tho.. Low weight 3 sets or 10.. I haven't gotten to breaking it down to particular muscle groups yet because I may only lift 2 times a week until I cleared by my surgeon to hit it hard (he has cleared light workouts). I'm concerned about my food intake and hitting it hard.. Can't wait till Monday, my doc appointment. I'm thinking he will clear me Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  9. Thanks @@Dub And @@jenn1 That's what I was hoping to find out. I was told by a nutritionist that I would never be able to gain my muscle tone back since I had the surgery.. Now I know I can, I'm not afraid of hard work so I'll put in the time... Just needed to know if it was possible again.. Now I know it is.. Btw y'all look like you put in the time and effort, it inspires me to as well!! Thank you for the responses!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  10. I understand I'm only a few months out, I'm just looking for information from people who has done it.. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  11. First, I am so happy.. I got sleeved on 2/29 and I've lost 56 pounds... Awesome!! But to be totally honest I have lost a lot of muscle, inches and fat.. Now I wanting to know if there are anyone out there that has been lifting and is able to gain at least some muscle tone back.. Feels like I'm not eating enough calories, carbs and Protein in order to gain my lost lean muscle back.. Any input would be great. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  12. @GrandoM74 actually it only took me about 2 weeks and I was approved.. My case worker at my surgeons office did everything for me.. UMR has paid for everything so far excluding my co-pays... I'm 6 weeks post op and what a total change it has been.. Good luck!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  13. Less carbs and more exercise and protein... Also understand if your working out, your probably gaining muscle and losing fat... So you may just be losing inches and the scale is stalling... Which is awesome.. Good luck

  16. Thanks I'm gonna try it
  17. I'm in the purée stage now.. I'm getting around 70-85 grams of Protein in now, which is a lot better than a few days ago.. Getting around 50 oz of water.. I seen my doctor and he wanted to take an extra week.. Cuz of having the type of job I have.. What kind of purée type Proteins or foods would help me get more energy or what better helped y'all?
  18. I expected the 3 week stall but it is still playing mind games on me.. I feel so weak and tired to the point my doctor gave me another week off from work.. So dealing with the stall, feeling weak and no work is kinda messing with me.

  31. Barry I look forward too it.
  32. Well I've been quite calm for some reason during most of this long process, now the nerves are starting to kick in... Not sure why but they are.. I think it's more that I'm wondering how I'm going to feel inside... Does a full stomach feel like being full... Drinking sips vs gulping after you work out.. That kinda stuff.. Idk..
