i told everyone, but that is just my personality. I respond to stress by oversharing and refusing to shut up about it! I have a two-week pre-op diet and my goal is to not make every conversation about Protein shakes! There is not any one way to respond, every person needs different things.
I'm lucky cause I work with a lot of nurses and they are mostly currious about the medical stuff whithout much judging. Sounds like your co-workers need a lesson boundries. Maybe find a good comeback for the jokes?

You could also try making a savory Protein Drink with V8, garlic, Protein Powder rather than a sweet one.

Today I went to meet with the surgeon for my All Consultation and I was given 2 dates. The first date I had to decline because of a pre planned Family trip. So August 24,2016 is my Sleeve Surgery date

I'm telling people, when I received insurance approval I even posted on Facebook "Insurance approval for weight loss surgery has arrived! Yippee! Starting to schedule pre-op testing. Btw: anyone with a snarky comment about surgery being the easy way out will fall victim to my evil death ray..." Mostly possitive responses. I have one cousin who is a nurse and expressed concerns and reminders about the importance of post op care. She was respectful, just worried.
I work at a nursing home so my coworkers have seen what a lifetime of obesity will do to the human body. I'm gay and my coming out experience built up a tough skin. Compared to that, this is a walk in the park!

I thought I was the only one who dreams of riding coasters! My niece and I are very close. Her birthday party is always at holiday world (southern Indiana). It is a very hilly park and I don't fit on the rides. I always made an excuse about having school finals, being "sick", or being too far to drive. I want to ride coasters and see my niece on her birthday!
I also want to run a marathon and never again have a stranger ask me if I'm expecting twins.
