  2. I kinda in the same situation.. Although we are not the same size etc...but i feel this is a positive thing...dont push, dont rush let her. Let her see your transformation..you be surprised and she may follow in your steps...im hoping for the same...but i always say you cant help someone who does not want to be helped and is not ready...always have to take care of you first...this is NOT an easy way out this is very hard and a life changing decision... Be happy be blessed that you are actually helping her too.
  3. See i thought maybe that was it but i drink out of a sippie cup to help me learn how to drink properly since day one and have had no issues...which is why i did not think it could be it
  4. Dr just called me...she screwed up her schedule and cant see me until tomorrow at 1015...problem is i cant see her tomorrow at 1015 i have no coverage...so kinda screwed...she has no idea what else to do but a ct scan...so i guess ill do that

  8. Awe..im 7 days post op and i can have cottage cheese and yogurt...try warm pudding...or cream of chicken soup with added broth..
  9. 1 week post op...all was good until this afternoon... I started to get chest pains...doctor said it was a pinched nerve from.the incision under my left rib cage...she quickly rulled out a heart attack or a blood clot since my symptoms only got worse if i moved...tomorrow i am going in for a injection to help with it...keep you all posted...aside from that pain and scare i have been doing good

  11. So just wanted to touch base and keep everyone informed...after about an hr pain was still there but not as bad...this is what she said... The incision under my left breast has nerves that spread all over my shoulder and chest to to my back...that i could easily pinched a nerve and causing the pain... Tomorrow i go in for a nerve block to break the cycle...says it wont hurt or delay anything totally for comfort...because she was able to rule out a blood clot etc it will be fine.
  12. I ate that spread over 4 hrs...dr says it's muscular... Still very painful...took two alieve like she said...shes gonna call me in an hr.

So today i THOUGHT was a good day...1 week post op...(3/21/16)...drank a full shake and a yogurt felt great then slowly i started to get pain in my chest..my left side to be exact behind my boob...my arm does feel lil numb but figured thats norm...if i breath in too much it aches more but just a constant dull pain..never had this before...waiting for doc to call me back...took 2 gas ex already...ugh!

  15. Sip sip sip during ur liquid phase food/water equals the same but if ur not voiding i woukd be concerned...im going constantly...find ur fav...warm, cold etx...im telling u once i realized hot worked for me its been great.
  16. Oh no ambien i hopenu cleared that with ur doctor...i had mine last week monday...good luck it will be fine...hang in there...first 48hrs are the worse...
  17. I hate the pre made ones they taste gross to me...i buy Optimum Nutrition 100% Oats & Whey powder... And mix in with powder pb2...i use soy, almond milk or water depending on my taste for the day has 24 grams of protein per scoop and fiber..with the soy or almond milk....plus....that with cottage cheese etc i get close to 60gms of protein in a day As for the pain...stay ahead of it...
  18. Are you in pain or spasam...big difference in my book pain i was able to deal with spasam not so much...when i drank anything my belly spasmed... That hurt but rare now...maybe once or twice a day no nees to put more drugs in me....however on my right side i feel a tug when i stand up straight so i always have to be careful with that...

Hi memi...i think thing is to find what works for you Fluid wise...warm, hot, ice cold etc...i learned hot works great for me..and get creative with fluids i got sick of mine real quick but doing ok now...i heard of Protein shots going to buy some tomorrow keep you all posted. I love hot showers but they drain me the most..so in and out now...

  21. I agree with sleevedmama16...i have not been on pain meds since last week wed...protein shakes etc u still use calories just to move...i have noticed lately hot liquids are going down real well so gonna try to heat up my protein shake and see how it goes...cross your fingers!!
  22. On 3/21/16 i had my sleeve with hiatial hernia...i go back to work Tuesday 3/29/16 I have a desk job with walking so im good but still feel tired...curious when someone of you went back...this is more for those who dont have weeks to take off but planned as best you could...
