Im on stage 3 in our program stage 1 is NPO...stage 2 is clear liquids...stage 3 yogurt, cream soups etc...stage 4 is pureed food...doing the best i can...doctor and nutritionist called tofay to check on me...and gave me some tips...to try...very tired today so gonna nap...glad it seems to be easy for you.

Lucky u...my belly still tight esp in the hernia area...still moving slow...but picking up more and more...just tired of drinking...im not hungry and not thirsty so everything by force...but feel good in general

Kelly i just had my sleeve on monday 3/21/16 and i was also on a supervised medical diet..omg this is NOT easy..im sick of drinking and sipping already... Its tough and gonna take some time...taking protein before diet is a breeze...now not so much...esp just fluid wise...welcome but tjis is no joke

Hi everyone...so here is my follow up... Arrived at 6am everyone was great in the OR holding room getting me prepped...at 7am..doctors, nurses 2 anaesthesiologists came in to talk to me and were curious of the outcome due to a drug mix to avoid nausea... Guess what i had NONE!! So it worked...at 725am i remeber be wheeled out to OR room...i remember some conversation but not much i woke up in my room..i remember i was very hot...they packed me in ice packs...my sugar was at 200...they quickly gave me insulin and hepperan(spelling). That was like every few hours it seemed...was not able to walk until hours later... Over all my exp was greater then i expected...they did do a hiatal hernia repair which with that and the sleeve a feel a bit more discomfort...hurts to stand up straight...taking in my fluids 1-2 oz at a time all day and Protein shakes...not reaching my protein goal but hoping for 55gm today we will see...the spasms are the worse...but again its getting better...im only take pain meds when i go to sleep to make sure i sleep well and i take the smallest dose...oxy.sucks cause some of these get stuck in my throat and cant drink anymore fluids lol totally sucks...oh and gas ex!! I take 4 a day...has been helping alot... Any questions ask away...

Yeah not dehydrated here either...just sipping away....my belly blk and blue from shots though...

How is everyone doing with fluid intake? I can only get about 1 1/2 ounces down every 15min or so...and thats pushing it...still walking and getting this gas out of me

Tjey did a hernia repair so i have a bit more pain then most...however i have been passing gas but not enough... Yes walking and sipping as much as i can. Still very sore esp the hernia area..and my muscles spasam when i drink. Its nice to be back in my own bed!

Hi maggie i just gor home right now...12:48pm...they did keep me another night as a precaution... The gas andmuscle spasms are the worse...but happe to be in ny own bed too

Lucky!! They are running labs now...blood pressure to low...but i feel fine...they need to make sure I have no internal bleeding....gross your fingers!!

Im not home..my leak test was great...they changed my died to a more advace diet since im doing well. After dinner i will go home..other then that went awesome and looking forward to the rest...sugar levels are normal..been walking alot..and resting... Glad everyone is safe too.

Surgery was about an hour...i have a private room...they did fins a hernia so they fixed thst too...i have only hit the pain meds 4 times since out of surgey but no pain..inceions ate very tiny...itake my leak text this morning. Hope tp home home today...harf to take walks with all these tubs in me....

Now im in surgical holding room...i have my booties on..and gown...just shooting the shit with my husband...they said at 7am everyone will be in to talk to me...still no iv yet...hubby sitting in here with me watching news...

Its 4:22 am im up now....slept as much as i could...at 430 i need to take the special meds for surgery for the nausea... As i get in the car to go to the hospital im told to take 4 xtra strength tylenol...i have to be there at 6am...sounds like tue roads are clear 3-6 inches of snow today....

I see it a differnt way your a marriage...in his eyes prob thinks you can hadle it all. I would let them come and just tell them you have the flue or something this certainly is not something to let go of your marriage over...a heart to heart is required yes but not kicking him out etc...

So far so good...watching a movie in bed...just has some tomato Soup... Here is my bag: Mints hair brush (just in case) 1 Underwear 1 bra Phone/charger Mini spoon/sippie cup Socks chap stick Biking shorts or yoga pants (only cause i hear it feels good to have some pressure on ur belly) Pillow to hug if i need to cough Neck pillow Cpap machine Im coming home in what i wear their...which is a sweatshirt and sneakers Thats it..all fits in a small beach bag.

Thank you i hope so!!.... I am off to shop...have some good Soup for lunch...movies....get my hair braided and watch the snow fall...sigh...need this day to fly by....i will be up early if anyone wants to say hello before i go in...

So this morning i started my liquid diet...i have been keeping myself real busy and after tomorrow nothing after 8pm...we are getting a pretty large snow storm so hoping thing will get postponed... I am able to have pudding, cottage cheese, yogurt and cream Soups strained... Its not too appealing so looking forward to the not eating part for now... I just took the milk of magnesia and OMG stuff is gross...mkaes me wonder what the leak test crap is gonna taste like.... As you can see from prior posts my hair is very long...so i am gonna have my hair braided tomorrow night after my npo starts then off to bed! I hope for a fast night!!!
