    Food allergies

I am almost through my first week of pre-op 6 months supervised diet. For me the dr calls it a sandwich diet. One week high Protein /low carb and two weeks clear liquid alternating. I found unflavored hemp protein to try but was wondering if anyone else has food allergies? I am allergic to caseins in dairy and eggs. Many protein drinks have egg albumin and of course whey is out. So many high protein suggestions are hard boiled eggs , yogurt , cottage cheese but I can't eat any of it. I feel like this is going to be a bigger challenge for me .
  2. I am just getting started with day one of a 6 month diet pre op and I am wondering how people have handled work and the added stress. I work sometimes 50 hours a week I'm a start up tech company that is high stress and I only get 5 sick days per year. I am worried as I alternate between protien and liquid diet weeks that my blood sugar or digestive issues are going to cause me issues and set me back. I am trying not to look at it as impossible but my performance can't falter because of personal issues. I am wondering how others have handed work and leave and such.
  3. 6 months of liquid diet? 6 months of alternating between one week high protien and two weeks liquid.
  4. I just had my consult on Friday and am starting the 6 months supervised diet and questioning if I will be able to handle that without a complete breakdown! One week of high Protein low carbs and two weeks of liquid diet for 6 months. It seems nearly unreal to me to expect someone with food issues to do this but i am going to try. I have never had any type of medical procedure beyond having a baby but at 47 and 5'6" 330 lbs it's time . I have PCOS and type 2 diabetes and I want my life back, but this whole process seems so overwhelming.
