  1. AHHH yes, getting showered and dressed each day is another thing I've taken for granted because now it's an exhausting chore. The no hunger has been nice although I can't wait to actually eat some food with my family as a meal. In one week I'm down 16lbs
  2. The pain is pretty intense and radiates through my entire chest, back and shoulder. They actual gave me Valium in the hospital to calm the muscle pain down. Walking makes me winded especially up and down stairs and as I found out today when I left the house for the first time that extreme cold doe not help the pain or the winded feeling.
  3. Thank you all for responding. It's nice to know that I'm not alone on this journey. Each day is getting a little bit better, the hernia part is still the most painful and I'm continuing pain meds just not as frequent. I discovered a very large bruise on my left side that hadn't been there until today, not sure what that's about. I'm glad to have heard from all of you and think it's great to keep in touch with about how we are doing. I'm still learning this app so I'm not sure how to private message anyone. If someone knows and wants to keep in touch just let me know how. :-)
  4. I had my gastric bypass this past Monday for medical reasons. The biggest issue was Barrett's Esophagus Disease, HBP, sleep apnea and I could definitely use the weight loss. The surgeon also operated on a hyatal hernia which has caused me extreme discomfort in my diaphragm, back and shoulder. I get winded if I walk or even talk to much. I almost regret having the hernia repair done. I'm really worried that the weight is coming off but I'm not able to meet the 30 minutes of exercise my surgeon wants me doing each day. Just wondering if anyone else had both surgeries at once and what the outcome was.
