ld33 got a reaction from kelsbelles in When will I stop regretting this surgery?
Honestly, I'm 10 days post op and haven't gotten over regretting this surgery but I still have hope that the constant burping, nauseous feeling, can't stand up straight because of the incisions, taking tiny tiny sips when I'm extremely thirsty and want to gulp, lower back pain, etc. My life has completely changed and I haven't gotten to the good part yet. I do remember my reasons for having this surgery and look forward to getting to the good part even though it feels like it's far away. Any who, we are now "sleeved" and going back trying to do it the traditional way is not an option at this point and that's unfortunate to me.

It's good to be well informed of all aspects. As you can see from reading these boards everyone's experience is different and some things you just don't know until you go through it. Some days have been better than others and that's a fact. My biggest issues are the acid reflux and lower back pain. I'm taking Hydrocod/ Acetaminophen around the clock to manage it. In the past, I was able to drink a cold ginger ale or take a couple of Tums and it's over. That is not the case now. Also, I used to love a big cold glass of Water, and I can't do that anymore. Even though I don't weigh myself daily I can visibly see the weight melting off. My BMI was I think 39 going into surgery, I weighed 240, I'm 5'6. Just be well informed and ask your surgeon what you can do now, if anything, to have the best outcome. Best wishes to you.

Some of you are worst than bullies on the playground. Vsg can change your weight but it won't change nasty attitudes. Cackling old women who have no life outside of these boards.

When I first came across this app during my research I was so excited about the wealth of knowledge and experiences that people shared.
Lately it seems as if these boards have been hijacked by the same gang of people who act like they're the forum police. What happened to giving advice or keep scrolling? I've seen people's post picked apart, taken out of context, or straight out shot down. Somehow the original posts gets hijacked and all off topic.
I appreciate the wisdom and support that has been given on this site. From what I have gathered, being exactly two weeks post-op, all of our experiences are different, backgrounds are different, we're just different. If you don't agree with something, that's fine, if you do that's fine too. Maybe a PM can be sent so that when we read a topic that we would like to know more about, two posts into it and there's childish bickering going on, completely off topic and it's annoying!

Yes I would stay on the liquid phase until it is cleared by your surgeon. My surgeon allows us and encourages us to start on pureed foods 7 days post-op
