    Advice that makes you crazy.

What would you say if I told you there is a pizza we can have Bariatric legal Pizza Ingredients One pound ground (raw) chicken breast - or 3 small boneless breasts, pulsed in food processor ½ cup grated Parmesan 1 cup freshly shredded part skim mozzarella - one cup shredded cheese is 4 ounces by weight ½ teaspoon garlic powder Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper Dried oregano ½ cup prepared Pasta sauce Crushed red pepper flakes 4 or 5 basil leaves, rolled and sliced Toppings - lets not go crazy with fat - I used Molinari very lean pepperoni in paper thin slices Instructions Preheat oven to 450°F and line a baking sheet or pizza pan with parchment paper or foil sprayed with non stick vegetable cooking spray. In a medium bowl combine the ground chicken with ¼ cup parmesan, ¼ cup mozzarella, ½ teaspoon salt, ¼ teaspoon black pepper, ½ teaspoon garlic powder and ½ teaspoon oregano. Mound the chicken mixture onto the parchment and pat into flat rectangle or disc. Cover with plastic wrap and evenly press or roll the chicken into a 7x10" rectangle or round. I use a rolling pin to get it very thin. Remove the plastic wrap and roast until golden, 12 to 15 minutes. Smear crust with sauce, scatter with ¼ cup Parmesan, ¾ cup mozzarella, layer with toppings and season with a sprinkle of crushed red pepper flakes and ¼ teaspoon oregano. Pop back into hot oven and cook until melted and bubbly 6 to 10 minutes. Remove from oven and scatter with chopped basil

    Night cravings

Try an adkins Snack pack? Make your snack later in the evening? Try different ways and until you find what works for you. I eat beef jerky before I go to bed and I sleep better and get ten grams of protein... low carb... a lil high in salt so if your have blood pressure issues... that might not be the way to go...how about a handful of pistachios/ almonds... Pistachios because they make you work for it so you need want less.... The snack packs ( think trail mix adkins style) I am prolly spelling that wrong... But you eat one piece at a time... make it take longer it will fulfill the need to snack.... with a small amount... and it has protein... Try an adkins Snack pack? 3 Week Stall

My stall was at 5 weeks or so ... was pretty scary... it just finally stopped and I lost 2 more pounds... I didn't even know it was normal. Love the post from Surfer girl that its okay and normal and to not freak out. That was awesome I didn't know it was normal ( in the beginning) I thought it was something that happened later on...So I wasn't prepared for it. Thank you for posting it... I didnt see other threads about it either and sometimes just knowing your not alone helps.... I didnt lose anything for like two weeks ( to be fair I lost a lot really fast actually scared me it was too fast) as long as your not gaining and doing what the nut and docs said I think you are doing great!! You got this!

    Embrace the Stall

I didnt know any of this Thank you I am about 7 weeks out and had my first stall.... I think I was more concerned that it was because I am eating less then what the docs said>>> I just can't eat more then what I eat now... At least now I know not to freak out... I slightly had a moment ( no one knows about this moment but you and this site) But I was like crap I messed up something. Thank you for letting me know this is normal... I didn't gain anything... but I didnt lose... either... I lost recently ( last two days 2 more pounds) So I guess it is starting again... to be fair I lost 67 pounds in less then 3 months... So I know it has to slow down ( it does right?) I don't know if I am "normal" or just fell off quick . I get my protein daily And lost no hair WOOT!

I feel weak and I can't keep anything down

With the egg custard you can make it thinner.... so it is easier to keep down and you get some Protein in.... Sometimes the easier things are better try some Beans... any kind that sit well with you ... Egg Custard. Prep time: 10 mins Cook time: 25 mins Total time: 35 mins Serves: 6 1 cup milk One 12 ounce can evaporated milk 4 large eggs 1/4 cup Splenda or 1/4 cup Truvia 2 teaspoons vanilla extract freshly grated nutmeg Instructions Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Place 6 custard cups or ramekins in a large roasting pan and set aside. Add the milk, evaporated milk, eggs, Splenda, and vanilla to the blender and pulse until smooth. Pour into the custard cups and grate a generous amount of nutmeg over each one. Pour enough hot Water in the roasting pan to come about halfway up the sides of the custards and bake 25 to 35 minutes, until just set in the center and are still a little jiggly. MAKE SURE YOUR CUSTARDS ARE SET BEFORE REMOVING FROM OVEN - oven temps and size of custard cups vary. Carefully remove the custards from the water bath, and transfer to towel to cool. Serve chilled. No Pie, pumpkin Pie! Ingredients One 15-ounce can Libby's pumpkin purée 1/4 cup Truvia sugar replacer or ? cup Splenda granulated 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon salt ½ teaspoon ground ginger 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves 2 large eggs One 12-ounce can evaporated milk Splenda sweetened whipped cream for serving Instructions Preheat oven to 350° F. 7. I get a kind of pain too... it feels like I need to burp... So I make myself burp... It might be from swallowing air its like a heavy feeling in my chest area.... Doc said not to worry about it as well... Stick with soft foods for a week see if they help and try to make yourself burp... I never burped so much my entire life and Now I do it a lot... it makes the pain weird feeling go away... it happens when I drink liquids and not sip them... like a full mouth full...Mine isn ot especially painful.... So see if forcing a burp helps.... IT can't hurt to try...

    Advice that makes you crazy.

I lost 28 pounds on my pre op liquid diet ( only solids were cottage cheese and yogurt) It was pretty cool actually... Learn how to season... and Protein meat... best low carb low fat you can eat and its not horrible to just eat meat Its whats helping me kick fats butt right now Since surgery I have to use condiments.... For my meats... so be prepared for that... Cos even the slightest not moist meat will give you trouble. You got this!! Rock it!

exercise after surgery, what did you start with?

Surgery was Nov 30th. I started back at the gym on Jan 19th. Try the recumbent bike ( you sit and pedal your knees are kind of stretched out in front of you) it works out your core muscles (belly) ... your legs and your but with a low pain possibility. It is very good for someone with back knee and hip issues ( like me) I don't know if you have them but if you are just starting and need advice this is where I started before I ever had my surgery... IT works I got stronger my knees back everything got better and even before surgery etc I lost 26 pounds. I am also back to lifting weights... Doc said if I tolerated it to go for it... as long as I don't do too much tummy stuff ( I get enough from the bike right now) It's good
