@@Bloomer723 I am going to ask a friend who does hair if there's a good product. I am lucky, as I have pretty thick hair, too. I'm taking my vitamins, but I guess it's just something that happens to some of us.

Three months. I was sleeved on 4/22. I just started noticing it was bad in the last week or two. I'm thinking pixie cut.

I'm doing well! Down about 70lbs, feeling amazing, physically and mentally. My hair is falling out in handfuls, but other than that, I can't complain. Those first two months were rough, but worth it.

Hi, all: I have a question. I am now about 6 weeks out, and I am having a really hard time eating/drinking anything. Has anyone else had this happen? I get immediately nauseated. Twice I have thrown up, and I know it's not from too much. Once it was just two small bites of mashed cauliflower, last night it was smashed up fish. I just got back from the gym and took a few small sips of water, and almost threw up. With food and water making me feel like this, I'd rather just not eat. I have an appt with Ivan on the 14th, but I don't know if I should wait until then to address this?

@@Bloomer723 how are you getting so much protein down? I am, still having aversions to the shakes. I have some unflavored powder that I mix with cream of chicken soup, but I can't get enough in me to hit the goal. Not even close.

I am so much better, physically! I've had two c-sections, and breezed through those compared to this. But, after a week, I feel pretty good. Still working on getting my protein down, but I talked to a nurse at Dr Thompsons yesterday, and she said I'm doing OK. I've lost 25 pounds, 12 of those were on pre-op diet.

I wish u didn't have to cook for my family. It would make things so much easier! If my home scale can be trusted, I am down 9 pounds on the pre op diet, the days left. Wow. That's crazy. I meant I wish *I* didn't have to cook. But hey, if anyone wants to come cook for my family, have at it!!! Lololol

@@MollyF22 It's OK, really tough. Had a slip up the other night. My husband wanted to go out, and I planned on just going for company, but I had real food. It wasn't too bad, though. Plain chicken breast. Surgery is the 22nd. I'm starting to get nervous. I had planned on driving myself, because I'm not really telling people, but they've told me that I won't be able to drive. So, I have to find a ride.

I agree-- don't feel guilty. I wish I had had a little more fun before the pre op diet. Also, you look amazing!!

That's a super cute bullet journal! I need to do something like that to help keep organized. I ordered a few different protein shakes to try yesterday. A coffee one from Chike that had really good reviews, and one from GNC. I didn't buy anything from UC.

I have preadmission testing tomorrow. Does anyone know what they do, since I've had the blood work and the ekg already?

Hi, Bloomer723! Exciting that our dates are coming up quickly! I have pre-admission testing on Apr 1, and that's it for me. I start the liquid diet on 4/8. That is going to be tough. I am hovering right on the line between the 5 and 6 shakes per day plans, so I'm going to start with 5, and if that absolutely wipes me out, I will probably add another as needed. The way I figure, 800 calories/day is going to be hard, but I am motivated and know I have to do it. I got my bloodwork results yesterday, and everything was fine. So that's good. How many appointments do you have left?

@@MollyF22 I am self pay, so I haven't had to wait as long as a lot of people. My insurance doesn't cover wls at all. I was ready to do it in November, but I got into a self pay special, so I have to go by their dates. I did a "boot camp" last week that was like 5 hours, met the surgeon, the dietician, physiologist, etc. Sort of got it done in one day, rather than a lot of appointments. So my surgery date is 4/22. I am so ready.

I do have Dr Thompson, I met him in Friday, and he seemed really nice. And, I obviously meant I live in the area, not the early. Lol. The facility looks amazing, and it seems like they really care. I started my journey in November.

Hi! I live in the early and found this thread. I am having my surgery at UC on April 22. I am excited and nervous, but reading about your experiences has helped.
