  1. Had my band removed and the mini gastric bypass at the same time on the 8th ( 8 days ago) and it went well but I wasn't allowed home because I developed 'surgery acquired pneumonia' :-( Plenty of pain for first couple of days but comfortable now ....been home from hospital a day or two now , thing I have noticed that worries me a bit is that I seem able to drink larger quantities than I thought? Got appointment on Tuesday to check/remove staples which are a bit sore now. Hoping it will give me the tool I need to help myself to a better quality of life Thank you :-)
  2. I just hope when I wake up in recovery that they tell me they removed the band and was able to do the mini bypass at same time , will be devasted if they can't
  3. Proper scared now , can't sleep , got to be in the ward at 7.30 am eeeek xx
  4. Sounds like it's a bit rough at first but I have suffered for five years so bad with this bloody band that I'm ready for one last torture lol
  5. Thank you everyone , I am excited /scared /worried/sick of liquids lol but only got to wait till Friday so fingers crossed and I will let you know how it went in a couple of days X
  6. Hi all , Just registered on here , I am having Band to Mini bypass revision on Friday after 5 years of the hideous band and an absolute nightmare! I am SO worried after reading some of the posts that the surgeon will say when I wake up that he couldn't do it due to scar tissue :-( Is it more common than not for that to happen does anyone know ? Or not that often? Thank you in advance :-)
