    Male Plastics

You were lucky then. I had mine last night and I am in terrible pain. I had really low blood pressure and heart rate afterward and fainted three times. Had to take blood thinners and inject myself when I go home soon. Had a catheter this morning, not fun. Can barely stand and can barely sit from standing. I’m sure the results will be great but I’m not doing another one of these for my other parts. I’m going to try to be happy with all I’ve accomplished so far. To anyone considering plastic surgery... make sure you think it through and ask a ton of questions.
  2. I wouldn't worry too much about this eval. They will ask you eating habits and stuff. Let me be completely Frank for a moment. If you want to go into the evaluation with crib notes or pointers, then maybe you aren't ready for weight loss surgery. Having this surgery is just a tool to help you move in the right direction. You have to do a lot of work to be successful. Once you have surgery, your (our) food crutch is going to be completely removed; you have be able to deal with that and it's difficult. I wish you the best of luck. Sent from my Moto G (4) using the BariatricPal App

Impressive! That's a lot of weight loss in 7 months. I've done 124 in 12 months. Awesome job sir! Sent from my Moto G (4) using the BariatricPal App
  5. Hi everyone! I had to search for some older pics because I never allow my picture to be taken, but I found a couple to put next to one from yesterday. It will be a year post-surgery on Dec 30th and I made my first goal... 100lbs down from surgery day. Woooooooo! I was 369 on surgery day and today I got 263lbs. I can't even believe it. I also had my one-year follow up with my doctor today and she was estatic with my progress. I went from a 58 BMI to 38 BMI. I has been a long journey and I'm no where near done, but I am, for the first time in a very, very long time, happy :') Sent from my Moto G (4) using the BariatricPal App

  11. This happened to me in the first two months. It's normal. I wish I still felt that way LOL. You will get your appetite back, it will be much less than pre-surgery, which is the point, but it won't be as bad as it is now for you. Hang in there and you'll do great! 12. Hi... Ho fat out are you? I had really bad pain a few weeks after surgery and it was from premixed Protein shakes. Those have lactose in them and after surgery my tolerance of lactose became nonexistent. Once I stopped that type of shake the pain stopped. Sent from my Moto G (4) using the BariatricPal App
  13. Ok...now I'm jealous LOL Sent from my Moto G (4) using the BariatricPal App
  14. Dude awesome! What type of surgery did you have? That is a huge weight loss. I had the sleeve and am only down 100lbs after 11.5 months. Congrats!!!!!! Sent from my Moto G (4) using the BariatricPal App
  15. I'm sorry, but my response is to ignore your dad and everyone except yourself and your doctor. The surgery works, bottom line. Let me just debunk ONE of these so called stats...GERD. Part of the reason I got my sleeve was to get rid of GERD. You only get simple heartburn from the surgery and only if you overeat. Just like everyone else. Please. Don't worry about the "stats". This was the best thing I've ever done. It's all about helping us with our food addiction. That is the part that the moms and dads and friends don't understand. I wish you all the luck in the world. 16. Hmmm. Good question First, I was in no pain. People worry about that a lot and I don't think it's an issue. I was so nervous, too, but I realized I really didn't need to be once I got to the hospital and stuff. To more directly answer your question, I did feel different. Maybe it was because I knew I was actually physically altered, but I really felt in my head that a change was made (mentally, you know?). I was not hungry at all. The first time in as long as I could remember that I was no hungry at all! I lived my life before surgery day constantly thinking of food and wanting food - hungry or not. That day I wasn't wanting food - and not because I was recovering, so much - but because my stomach was small and I just did not need food. Really, for me, I just felt like it was a new beginning... I can't really explain it. Food ruled my life until the moment I woke up in recovery. It will be a year on Dec 30th (a couple weeks away), and I am still not hungry or not when I "shouldn't" be You are going to do great
  17. Hey Stephanie... Don't worry about what others say about the sleeve. No one but us (people in this situation) understand how difficult dealing with weight problems is. No one I have ever talked to even understand the sleeve...purpose, how it works etc. People think we are lazy or unwilling to change our "habits" or whatever, but we are here because food is an addiction for us and the sleeve is the only thing that keeps us in check. You go get your surgery and you do what you need to do for YOU. I was a little scared last year when I did mine, but it is the best thing I've ever done and I finally feel like me. Good luck! 18. Definitely a good source, when you get bored of other things. However, only natural PB....all other PB has sugar or other sweeteners added. Sent from my Moto G (4) using the BariatricPal App
  19. I have to agree on carbs...and I've got to be more diligent about it too I workout a lot, so I tend to eat more and I've been slacking on watching the carbs. And I do notice slower weight loss and even stalls. Some days I get in 65 carbs :/ Thanks for the reminder Sent from my Moto G (4) using the BariatricPal App

    Exercise

I waited five months when I felt I had the strength to exercise. Eating so few calories makes you weak, so you need to let your body catch up. I started a full body workout, three days per week. Full cardio and weight training. It is a definite must to weight train so your muscles build to jump start your metabolism. It is definitely working for me. I've gone from 49% body fat to 32% in these months and have lost 88lbs of fat and gained 20lbs of lean muscle. I'm down 5 shirt/pants sizes too. Wouldn't have happened without the gym.
