  1. @@charley27 it went fantastic. I was in so much pain when I was in recovery but once I was drinking, walking around and stuff I felt much better. I'm 2 days post op and am feeling really well. I haven't had any cravings or anything, however I am still on pain meds because I'm still pretty sore. I'm super happy with my decision though and would do it all over again if I had to choose ☺️
  2. When I take my sips of water every 5 minutes, after I swallow the water, I have a strange gurgling come back up my throat. It's not the water but just like air. Is this normal?
  3. I just wanted to let the future sleevers out there know that I finally had my surgery after waiting forever and it went fantastic and I was just going to share some of my experiences with you that I've had since the surgery. Going into surgery I was so nervous and was just beside myself with anxiety but that changed very quickly once I had the drugs to calm me down. The operation was very quick (about 30-45 minutes). I won't lie to anyone (and I wish someone would have exaggerated this to me) I felt like I had been hit by a bus after surgery. I was in so much pain all the way up to my ribs because of the gas. As the day went on the gas had gotten better and I feel much better. I've had some nausea all day but meds have kept it under control and I have yet to vomit or anything. It's taken me all day to get all of my liquids in, but I'm almost there. But for anyone approaching your surgery soon, I just want to let you know, I have no regrets and I feel great for just being 1 day post op and can't wait to see all the changes
  4. I'm not complaining.. Lol I was just making sure it's okay.

  6. Losing the weight pre-op has been hard for me this whole time, but its finally almost time for my surgery! Just a couple more weeks. I'm glad the diurex worked for you.
  7. Avoid sodium and carbs like the plague. Drink tons of Water (I drink a gallon a day or atleast 96 oz) - this also helps curb my hunger a bit. I know it's so hard and I have really struggled with it too. That water retention will get you though, so just try to watch your sodium. Try to avoid Soups and processed foods. Sometimes before my weigh in, I will take a diurex a day or two before just to make sure to get out whatever water weight I can, I retain water pretty badly myself.
  8. Were you able to eat these after surgery?
  9. Great tips guys thank you!
  10. I am required to lose 20 pounds before surgery, I know that's not a lot but I'm really struggling with it. Anybody have any good tips on what they ate to lose their weight prior to surgery? I want this so badly and am having such a hard time
  11. I was really struggling with it too and then i realized how much I truly want this. So this is my daily food intake. Breakfast - premier Protein shake Snack- Dannon fit and light yogurt Lunch- Premier Protein shake and a just for one serving of broccoli and cheese. Dinner- chicken or lean meat with a small serving of fat free refried Beans and broccoli. The premier Protein shakes are amazingly cheap and don't taste awful. I got a 12 pack at SAMs for 14.00 And the Dannon light and fit yogurts are so good and have lots of protein. My favorites are banana cream, salted caramel and key lime Do this and I PROMISE you will lose. Drink tons of Water as well!
  12. How many carbs is your surgeon allowing you to eat a day? Mine never told me.
