    All Of Me. Wow.

@Cervidae I agree completely with your post! We have a lot in common, lol. My fiance and I also met on WoW and didn't actually get to see each other until 8 months into the relationship. We watched the movie together and as I am 2 weeks post-op, I couldn't relate for the most part. I have an awesome support system in him, my children, co-workers, etc. However, before 2007, I probably wouldn't have been able to say that. He follows the same meal plan that I am on, with occasional changes, even in the pre-op stage. I can say that I have ever had this much support in my life and we have discussed how my weight loss might change my way of thinking. You know what he did when I told him I was scared that I would change too much? He took me in his arms, looked me in the eyes and said "Don't you worry about that, because we are in this together. As long as we have communication, there isn't any change that will come between us." And that is why I proposed to him. He's a keeper!
  2. Thanks for the link Kristen! I am trying to read it at work, between work, lol. But it looks like you mapped out every step of the way, which is awesome. I'm still at the pre-op diet portion.
  3. HI Hopeful! I have surgery with Dr. Lopez on the 14th. Sorry I didn't find this site sooner, lol. Mine will be in Puerto Vallarta, which will be a great way to get away from the weather here in Idaho! I leave this Sunday for a few days of exploration, as I have never been. My fiance is going with me as well so, I'm hoping it will be fun!. Have you had your surgery yet?
  4. My surgery is Jan 14th and for the past few days, I've had insomnia. I'm having it done in Mexico so flying makes me nervous to begin with. But I didn't prepare myself for my anxiety of it all to give me insomnia. I haven't had to deal with this for quite some time. Think I'll make some tea to sleep.

    Struggling with pre op diet

My surgery is on 14th as well and keep wondering the same thing. I think the hardest part is remembering to eat and drink separately for me. Am I eating/drinking too fast? Shouldn't I be hungrier than this with such a shift? My fiancé asked if I thought my stomach was shrinking yet and I really can't tell...

    Who Are You?

Hello, my name is Teresa and I'm 44, with 3 children and a fiancé. My children are from my first marriage to a Southern Baptist preacher. I only mentioned that because if you understand what that means then it's easier to understand that I finally have the freedom to do what's best for me. I had looked into this type of weight loss tool many years ago but if I couldn't get my thyroid or depression under control, then the great impact this surgery could have, might be lost. So I have waited. When the opportunity came last year, my insurance would not cover it, not even for the medical reasons I have. So I put up a GoFund and got a little help. However, not enough for it to be completed in the US. I'm 9 days out for my surgery in Puerto Vallarta and I'm nervous as hell. I'm nervous that I will screw this up somehow and be right back where I started. I'm also nervous about this new direction and path. What will change or won't change when I'm at a healthy weight? Will it change those around me? Sorry for the rambling but... This is who I am. ????
