    Back to school

Yesterday I got student ID to go back to college, and the library guy asked me for some kind of ID which I gave him my driver's license with a picture of 4 years ago, and he wanted another form of ID because he was not sure I was the same person.

    band too tight?

Hello Everybody, Just a main concern, I got my band for 2 years now and I did manage to lose about 100 pounds the first year but on this second year, and I am not kidding here, I just being able to lose 15 lbs. I am stuck at 300, but I am not sure if my band is too tight or what? I have tried several diets and exercise but regardless of what I do I am still not losing a single pound. I think that I may be "too tight" just because sometimes, I even have hard times swalloing saliva, but then again I can eat normal, so I am not sure what to do now. Has anybody has experienced anything like the symptoms I am describing? Manuel

God is testing me big time

just for the record: James 1:13 When under trial, let no one say: “I am being tried by God.” For with evil things God cannot be tried nor does he himself try anyone.

    Pb?

Actually, I lost more before the fill since I was doing the post op regimen, once I got my first fill I found a way to cheat the band and started drinking a bunch of no-nos, so I guess my point is to get ready to change your eating habits even if you don't have a fill.
  10. Here is an embarrasing question but since this a support group I am going ahead and asked it. Couple of years ago I rode an airplane and when I need to blucke up in the first plane the seat belt barely reached, on my way back they had to issue me an extension, so, do you guys and gals know the size of the seat belt lately? I have not lost much weigth since the band and I am going to ride with a few co-workers in the plane. I am just trying to get mentally prepared for any potential embarrassement. Thanx.

    doc in MEXICO

Dr. Rumbaut is the best dr. in Monterey not to say Mexico, just check out the stats on him, besides he is a bandster himself. Safety comes first I would advice you to spend couple more grand, facilities are the best in Monterey. Manuel

    Hey Houston Bandsters

hi you'll, I live near League City, any supporting groups in South houston?
  13. Mike, I bought this scale at Sam's that goes up to 400 for 30 bucks; before that I used to go to my previous gym and get into their industrial strength electric scale. I don't advise anybody to weight themselves everyday since it can get discouraging do it once a week first thing in the morning . Manuel 55 lbs gone

Mexico Surgery (my first week after)

my Dr. advised me to ''walk it out'' all the air and stomach noises go away faster that way, you will feel better afterwards.

    How much Protein???

My lap band nutrionist told me that I should be getting around 180grams of Protein since I have being lifting weights, but again I seen in the forum that 60grams seems to be the norm around here. I am not planning to be a bodybuilder anytime soon, my goal just like most of you guys and gals is to lose most of the extra weight than worry about muscle later. what did your nutrionist told you guys? Your help is greatly apreciated. Thanks Manuel Dr. Rumbaut's 09/27/05 surgery 01/06/06 1st fill 55lbs gone
