I have been getting them all my life also.Valtrex? I remember those commercials for herpes lol
I have gotten cold sores all my life. Some infected sob probably kissed me as a little kid. I wish there was a cure. I always get them around season changes.

My regular Dr gave me the Veltrex. If you catch it before it comes out it never does. Lysine just doesn't seem to help me so I had to find something that really works.

I am a female, 53 years old, and I have lost 118 pounds. I think that the cold sores are caused by the stress of the surgery to the body. Since I was getting them so frequently I talked to my doctor about them and he prescribed Veltrex and I take it when I feel one coming and then it stops it in its tracks. The medicine has been very helpful. Are you male or female? Sorry could not see on ur profile
Do u feel it could be hormonal?
Or perhaps from the change in diet? Less fruit and veg...
I'd love to pin point a trigger so I could try to prevent it.
Thanks

I been struck a few times in 3 months and it's not normal for me.

I am 54 years old, I had my surgery January 27, 2016. I have lost 135 lbs. I am now 147 lbs and have been happily maintaining my weight for the last 10 months. I don't think you are ever to old to make positive changes within your self. You will feel so much better and the list will only go on from there! Best thing I have ever done for myself!!
