    Alcohol

I know for me... If I have a drink, my weight loss stalls. I never lose. Doesn't mean I don't have a drink now and then but if I do.. I know what to expect.

    Advice - wish I'd followed

This is what I have been saying all along. Caloric restriction is the prime reason for hair loss.. Surgery perhaps but I've had other surgeries and have not had hair loss. I made it a point to increase calories to try to prevent this and so far so good. Weight loss has been slow but for me, I'm ok with it. It's not from lack of Biotin or protein.

    HELLO JANUARY SLEEVERS!

I havnt had issues with hair loss. I always thought it was associated with calorie deficit. So I always tried to increase my calories towards 1000. If we are eating 500-800 cals a day.. hair loss will occur. You can google calorie defict and hair loss and see the results. Pretty interesting.

    Feeling Judged

Oh my word! Wait I need to pick my jaw off the floor. Next time tell her no thanks to the negative advice with a smile
  7. Well, I only had 40-50 lbs to lose with ZERO comorbidities. And I went to Mexico to have surgery. So I am one of the people you are referring to. I am not anorexic. No eating disorders. I just want to say, everyone has a story, so while you hate when people are uninformed and judgy regarding your surgery, you are being the same towards mine. I had anxiety and depression from being overweight (although I wasn't obese, so is that ok?). I yo-yo dieted all the time and was only getting older and more overweight. I was on a slippery slope and decided to nip this in the bud and get the surgery before I was morbidly obese with comorbidities. Since surgery I have had zero depression and anxiety. I am in the best shape of my life, workout all the time because it is now easy to, and eat healthier than ever. So judge away and think you have all the answers about who should be getting surgery, but you don't know. You just don't. It literally saved my sanity. Exactly my point!! Well said.

    Cake after being sleeved

Moderation works for me. I log every bite. I try to stay away from those sweets.. But still log it all.
  9. Yes and yes I did read your post. Don't we all have eating disorders? Who is it to decide who should have it or not? Reread your post yourself. It didn't come off how you think

    HELLO JANUARY SLEEVERS!

Doing well.. Averaging about a pound a week. Sometimes less.. Sometimes more. Eating small meals with snacks. At times I feel I'm grazing but actually I'm not.. My old self would say that meal is really a snack cuz it's so small. I have friends who don't know I've had surgery and when they see me log my food they ask... How are you gonna log that lil bit of fish? they just don't know why I'm eating so lil. Maybe I'll break the news someday. Otherwise doing well.
  11. That's not what was said What was said was 40-50 pounds. That's me.

Is it ok to vape after surgery?

Same here.. It helps with cravings for me
  13. This scares me too! What happened to only getting WLS if you had 100 lbs or more to lose - or you had significant medical issues (diabetes) that would resolve with GB. When I see what is probably a "normal" sized person (except on the BMI chart) removing 80% of their stomach or re-routing their entire intestinal system to lose 40 - 50 lbs - I wonder what the hell were they thinking. I think this also gives a bad opinion of WLS in general and why some think it's the "easy way out". What was I thinking? Wanting to no longer be obese and on BP meds and not a fasting BS of 150.This due to being 50 - 60 pounds overweight. It's not an easy way out.

What do you eat? Am I eating too much?

Because you can't set your calories...if your under 1200 calories then you can't log for that day... Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using the BariatricPal App I always set my cals in MFP. Am I am always under and can log

What do you eat? Am I eating too much?

What do you mean by a WLS version of MFP? Tracking food is just that... Tracking food
  18. I log every nibble with my fitness pal... everything

    Losing hope -just venting

Find out why and if the appeal doesn't happen, I would look at cash pay. I went to OCC in Mexico and had a great experience.

    Lap Band complications

Due to your age, are you able to get a revision? Wondering as my mother is 72 and has a failed lapband and is looking into getting it removed. Shes concerned a surgeon wont want to do it due to her age.
