  1. My starting weight was 310. I recommend using c25k app for training for a 5k. It's great! Sent from my SM-G920P using the BariatricPal App

  3. I am six months post sleeve gastrectomy and I am down to 229! This last month has been rough for me. I lost my my father at the end of April and my body responded by snacking and comfort eating. I gained back up to 238 from 233, but worked very hard the last two weeks to get my weight back down and it looks like I'm back on track. I have accomplished so much this year and I can't give up. I ran my first 5k, yes I ran the ENTIRE thing, in just under 45 minutes! I have hiked many trails. I am proud, and I know my dad is proud of me too. My biggest regret is I never got to run with him. He was an avid runner and very healthy. But I know he runs with me every time I run now. pretty op, one month post op, and 3 months post op ] color me mutt 5k with my little man, Sully. 4. I'm actually only 5'6. I'd be ecstatic to reach 180 or even lower. Although the lowest I've ever been in my adult life is 225 or 230. I carry my weight very well. No one ever believes me when I tell them how much I weigh.
  5. 310 was my starting weight. I'm now down to 249 (what I weighed in high school). My personal goal weight is 180.
  6. First pic preop, 2nd 1 month post, 3rd is today

Food Addict ready to strangle her husband

Yeah, I have most definitely heard of bariatric divorce. The good thing is, he will be having surgery soon, so hopefully we can share this experience better. At least then he can empathize with me. If things don't improve we will definitely see a therapist! Thank you!

    Woah Nelly!

I'm almost a month post op and I went to the gym for the first time today and decided to take some selfies. When I got home I looked through my phone and found pictures I had taken back in June when I began my physician supervised weight loss visits. The before and after thus far is amazing! I still have a long long way to go, but wow!

Food Addict ready to strangle her husband

Thank you so much, I needed that!
  10. I'm about 3 weeks post op and my family had to make an emergency trip. I packed food that is on my diet (protein, almond milk, lentils, yogurt, soups...). However, my husband and step daughter have not been easy to deal with on this trip. As with all trips, the food is usually from fast food restaurants and continuous boredom snacking occurs. I cannot have either of these things. I LOVE food and that is the problem. I'm staying strong and avoiding any of these foods, but resentment is growing for those that eat this crap around me. I literally just sat in the car while my husband and stepdaughter gorged themselves with burgers and fries. All I could do is just stare out the window at the cars passing by, trying to ignore the smell and sounds of mastication.
  11. Hi guys! I am 2 weeks post op and I'm doing exceptionally well. I have tolerated everything that I have eaten thus far. I'm a bit bummed that I have only lost 2lbs for the 2nd week. I spoke with my patient advocate about this. I had made a mistake and had been eating small amounts of meat. She said that this was probably the reason for only losing 2lbs. Also, I'm having a terrible time with getting all of my fluid in for the day. I also wonder if not meeting my fluid goal has contributed to the small loss. Does anyone out there have any insight about this?
